When the news came out that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. was under federal investigation, I found myself hoping in an odd Chicago-style sort of way that he was indeed guilty. I would hate to see the system punish an innocent man.
But, guilty or not, he already is being punished in the court of public opinion without being formally charged with anything.
His latest headache came Tuesday when the Chicago Sun-Times dropped a bombshell: Fundraiser Raghuveer Nayak of Oak Brook told federal authorities that Jackson personally directed him to offer then- Gov. Rod Blagojevich millions in campaign cash in return for President Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat.
Jackson has denied similar allegations since they first surfaced in a federal criminal complaint against Blagojevich in late 2008.
Jackson said little more until a WLS-AM radio interview on Sept. 17 in which he acknowledged a meeting with Nayak on Oct. 28, 2008. He claims part of the conversation was in Hindi and said he "did not participate in any of that part of the conversation nor do I even remember hearing it."
Jackson, considering a run to replace Mayor Richard M. Daley, who announced he will not run again, still appeared to have his political viability intact. After all, this is Illinois, where getting things done politically is not unlike dealing with Afghanistan's tribal warlords. You have to choose your allies carefully and heaven help you if you have to be held responsible for everything they say they are doing in your name — especially if they are speaking a language you don't speak.

Jr. had it made. All he had to do was cash-in chits that Sr. had grifted and stay out of trouble. Don’t know why Chicago is flooded with such a disproportionately large percentage of corrupt hacks and thieves in office.
Jackson will be exonorated. The US Justice Department is full of liars and thieves. The word Justice in America means nothing to anyone but the hard working class of Americans.Justice is not supposed to reward or punish. It is supposed to be “Color” blind but it is not. America is drowning in its filth and no longer worth saving. Rev. Wright is getting his wish.

I am reminded of AL GORE taking campaign funding money from BUDDHIST MONKS, and stating that even though he was present and holding the bag (of money), he knew nothing about it because he was just drinking tea.

There's nothing amusing about it. This is Marxist politics writ small.
But look at what's happening-- the poverty pimps (Jackson and Sharpton) have NO constituency. NO ONE is standing up for them.
And while we enjoy it, you have to consider that the expectation of 'the black community' is that the new brothers in charge intend to get it done, and not in a way that in any form favors 'the white community'. Be sure of that.
It may be gradually sinking into the “black community” that Obama is NOT one of them, does NOT give a damn about them, and that they are suffering even more than the average American.
His protecting of the Black Panthers has nothing to do with helping the “black community” and everything to do with visibly protecting the election thieves he relies on.
The “black community” is getting screwed worst of all. Con men always reserve their worst contempt for those who eagerly swallow their fraud. Whether they’ll ever turn on him or not remains to be seen.
I grew up in cow country—and learned early it is best to find amusement in those things you have little or no control over.
I can find amusement in nearly any situation but some find when nit comes to grit I somehow manage to take care of business—and then the amusement rises to the surface again.
