Companies and individuals are leaving California in record numbers for low or no tax states such as Nevada and Florida.

Question.

Is California a microcosm of America's economic policy?

Or, is America's economic policy a macrocosm of California?

Or, both?

What is affecting the seventh largest economy in the world is also affecting the second. The causes are the same and the results are the same.

See what happens when the individual states are no longer allowed to be the experimental laboratories for the rest of us. The adverse impacts can be fatal for all of us.

It is past time to break the power cartel that has established itself inside the beltway and return to policies that have been effective instead of adopting polices that are failures because they are advocated by people with a whole bunch of letters after their names.

they’re going to start leaving Oregon too after they passed laws that will harm small businesses here as wellby spreading the wealth around. It really is mind boggling to see people so short sighted and vote for an immediate benefit that will cut off their employment in the long run

After 50 years in SoCal, my husband’s company moved to Arizona. I am not a Leftist loon, by the way. I hope Arizonans will appreciate that we, two more Republicans, are here.

The NEW ballad of Jed Clampett
Come and listen to a story ‘bout a man named Jed
Poor oil entrepreneur barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was working for some food,
And up through the crowd come a bumbling fool
(Arnold that is, RINO gold, more taxes please)

Well the first thing you know old Jed’s taxes are to much to bear,
Kin folk said Jed move away from there!
Said California is no place for you to be
So they loaded up the truck and they moved from Beverly
(go’n back to the Hills they are, fish’n holes, country and western stars)

Well now it’s time to say goodbye to Jed and all his kin
They would like to thank you folks for kindly dropping in
You’re all invited back again to their new locality
To have a heaping helping of their hospitality
(Redneck Hillbillies, is what the press call ‘em now,
Clingers of bibles and guns and to Obama no bow!
Nice folks Y’all come back now, ya hear?)

My company has an opening out in CA near LA. It has been open for over 3 months - in this jobs climate. I co-worker asked me if I was interested (it is a plum assignment in my field). I replied immediately and truthfully that I would quit the Company before I would let them transfer me there at any salary they could reasonably offer.

The article mentions Boeing. I can assume that they are talking about the plant in Long Beach. If I remember correctly that is the old Douglas aircraft plant from years ago.

California is about to become a "failed state" thanks to Brown et. al. His campaign for governor is promoting "green industry," as the solution. Pure bunk. Back in the 70s, Brown blew $600million on The Geysers, a geo thermal power plant that never produced a single KW. He was never held accountable for the waste and fraud.

Green Industry is a fantasy. 100% dependent on government subsidy. If he becomes governor, expect the state's decline to accelerate.

Our once great educational system is a shambles. The LAUnified School District is a laughing stock. It's tragic. Democrats in California should be charged with governance malpractice. We're the perfect example of the majority learning that it can loot the treasury. In this, I'm afraid, we're leading the nation.

California is dead.

Doesn’t matter how it votes this fall.

California is dead.

The only questions now are 1) will this dead be slow and painful or fast and messy and 2) how much Federal money will be dumped down the hole before the Ruling Class decides it is a lost cause.

These types of threads are so funny...

Ya got half bitching about all the liberals from California invading their towns and states and destroying them...

And the other half here are begging people from California to move to their states....lol.
