It was a distraction to the Joseph Coates hearing.

New RNC TV ad...Two wars, high unemployment, out of control illegal immigration...and who does Nancy Pelosi’s congress seek advice from? Then cue to a clip of him trying to enter pictures of his colon into the record.

I believe that I will contact Lofgrens office on Monday and give them a polite (but firm) piece of my mind. I hope you do. She sure needs an extra one or two. I'd have given her some of mine, had I any to spare.

incredibly impressive?? Puh-leeze!
You're right - my use of "impressive" isn't accurate in the literal sense. So allow me to restate as I intended it to come across:
Incredibly effective.
In the sense that the Coates hearing was barely even covered on FoxNews, being completely overshadowed by the Colbert testimony.

Being stoned is probably what makes Colbert’s (and Stuart”s) audience think they’re funny. When I was in college in the 70’s I thought Sat Nite Live was funny. When I saw the reruns years later, I thought they were stupid.
