Via GOP12, Im surprised that this modest statement of painfully obvious fact is making waves today. Click the image below and skip ahead to 8:00 for the money part, although the whole things worth watching. He starts with a cute bit about phoning the families of National Guardsmen to say hi, proceeds to talk about Campaign 08, and then after the part about Obama praises Palin for her energy and spunk and passion. (Code words, says Ben Smith, trying to stir up trouble.) What makes this newsworthy, I guess, is that its a rare caution about hubris at a moment when not only has Obama been beaten to a pulp politically but establishment Republicans are themselves on the ropes and being hammered by tea partiers. The key word, though, is economy. Like Mitt says, it will come back despite The Ones best efforts to the contrary, and when it does hes going to get most of the credit. The only hope for the GOP nominee is that Romney is right in thinking that the American people have established a perspective on the President which is going to be lasting. Will it last, though? If unemployment starts to dip and Obama inches right to pass some economic legislation with the GOP Congress, hell sell himself next time as the centrist pragmatist of David Brookss dreams. Which will be Romneys cue to argue that the GOP needs a nominee whos equally centrist and can compete for swing voters, thus raising the question: Does a stronger Obama actually improve Mitts chances for the nomination by making electability more of an issue for base voters? Hmmmm.
RINOs are so...so....smarmy.
Romney, please please go scuba diving - without the aqua lung.
I’m not keen on Romney, but I do agree that nothing should be taken for granted. Obama personally may be a weak candidate, but he has party machinery and the DBM behind him. Not to be taken lightly.
I will never vote for Mitt Romney. Period.
Powerful Mike Pence speech on the presidency:

Exerpts:
The president is not our teacher, our tutor, our guide or ruler. He does not command us, we command him. We serve neither him nor his vision. It is not his job or his prerogative to redefine custom, law and beliefs; to appropriate industries; to seize the country, as it were, by the shoulders or by the throat so as to impose by force of theatrical charisma his justice upon 300 million others. It is neither his job nor his prerogative to shift the power of decision away from them, and to him and the acolytes of his choosing.
The President of the United States of America bows to no man.
You do not bow to kings.
When in foreign lands, you do not criticize your own country.
You do not argue the case against the United States, but, rather, the case for it.
You do not apologize to the enemies of the United States.
Should you be confused, a country, people, or region that harbors, shelters, supports, encourages, or cheers attacks upon our country, the slaughter of our children, our mothers, our fathers, our sisters, and brothers
are enemies of the United States. And, to repeat, you do not apologize to them.
.
No, he will not be that hard to beat, he won’t have indies, he won’t have those fool so called conservative republicans that voted for him, and he won’t have the vote of kids who came out to vote because they thought he was cool. He is establishment now and will not have momentum of the anti bush rebellion.
Palin/Bolton will win against Obama in a landslide.
Shut up, Romney. The great business of the moment is winning the House and Senate, not indulging your perpetual presidential ambitions.
Verily I say unto you, with Romney, no things are possible.
No, lessens it I think (hope) .
Mit too similar to Obama with their socialist agandas. Very few real conservatives don't see that.
So true. We are working to win 2008.
romney is working to win 2012.
2008 is for America.
2012 is for romney.
romney sux.
Hmmm. Max Headroom, but less lifelike.
He can't without addressing the birth certificate issue, and he can't produce an acceptable one.
Romney will hand the election back to BO...just like McCain. Anyone in their own right mind knows BO can be beat, epecially if he keeps on as he’s doing. The American people don’t want him. But if Romney runs against him you can bet money BO will win... Romney will see to that!
I’ve noticed you never hear anything about Romney...Nothing... then all of a sudden he comes out of the Castle and gives the serfs a wave.
NO to Romney
Check your calendar.
The final question was specific to Sarah Palin and his opinion of her.
His praise was fleeting, and he went quickly to other subjects -— but in naming the Hispanic candidates, and women candidates, the stupid b#stard didn’t realize that Susana Martinez of New Mexico is one of Sarah’s candidates and that several of the successful women candidates *are* Sarah’s Mama’s Grizzlies.
Sheesh. Don’t praise Sarah for that, Mitt, (and he didn’t).
What is Romney doing talking about 2012? Palin has specifically told Republicans to focus on the here and now. I guess Mitt didn’t get the memo.
Not sure if it’s hit FR yet, but Obamo just helped Columbia take out the big boy of FARC.... with a bomb.
“Gag time. I am watching the video.”
Thank you!!!!!!This means I don’t have to. :)
