The Republicans just rolled out their "Pledge to America" that will supposedly fix America's financial and debt crisis.
But it won't! Because it just calls for tax cuts -- with no real reduction in spending!
We thought Republicans were supposed to be the TOUGH party, the folks who could make the hard decisions. But this "Pledge To America" is WIMPY WIMPY WIMPY!
Grow a pair, Republicans! SAY what you're actually going to cut!

>abolishing earmarks,
You really expect them to give up one of the primary “perks” of the job; bringin’ home the bacon - Money, jobs and projects for their districts, friends and campaign donors?
Especially when they probably will be in the majority.
...would be a great start
Do we forget how the media hounded the GOP for specifics in ‘94 then picked them apart day by day?
The bottom line here is that the Democrats are in trouble not for any of the tired political reasons but because they refused to listen to the voters. That’s it in a nutshell.
So let’s give the GOP a chance to get in and hear us. We know what the Dems will do, as soon as elected, they’ll push the people aside all over again. That’s the only issue I care about this election cycle, is to get those self-ruling self-serving zealots out.
Then we can pick apart GOP policy.
Interesting one party wants to continue to spend and grow govt and one party wants to stop spending and reduce govt. The choice is pretty clear.
HEY DEMOCRATS, THAT’S YOUR PROBLEM YOUR IN CONTROL, YOUR THE ONE DOING ALL THE SPENDING.
Yes, and we all need to be on top of their intended policies - TEA is good all hours of the day.
The illegal alien issue is buried deep in the “pledge” when in fact it is one of the single most important issues facing our country today. Apparently they don’t want to piss off the mexican vote.
Hmmm. The Henry Blodgett...currently banned from the stock exchange....but hey everyone is entitled to their opinions
They cannot, were neutered long ago.
Just taking a quick glance at the page, this seems to be a very anti-Republican type of site. Why aren’t they calling out the Dems? It would seem they want specifics so that they can tear those ideas apart, bit by bit, thus securing the base of what is most likely their beloved Dems.
I agree with the first part of your sentence but not sure about the sincerity of those in the second part.

Contract pledge ...
What are the odds they even read that

Ensure Access For Patients With Pre-Existing Conditions:Health care should be accessible for all, regardless of pre-existing conditions or past illnesses. We will expand state high-risk pools, reinsurance programs and reduce the cost of coverage. We will make it illegal for an insurance company to deny coverage to someone with prior coverage on the basis of a pre-existing condition, eliminate annual and lifetime spending caps, and prevent insurers from dropping your coverage just because you get sick.
This is basically advocating Obamacare. If insurers can't price risk, then it's not insurance, it's welfare. If you're guaranteed insurance AFTER you get sick, it's not insurance. Overall, I give "pledge" a "C"...it's average. The sunsetting bills idea (I'd say 5 years) is a great idea. Sadly, they omitted term limits.
We’re going to have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.
And tell us what you are going to do about the ever increasing threat of Islam, or will you remain mute on the subject like your predecessors are?

“Hey, Republicans, GROW A PAIR And Tell Us What Spending You’re Going To Cut”
Anybody who falls for this is an idiot.
They continue to be a bunch of lying crooks.
They want to got back to 2008? This is sick and a laugh. As Ann Colter said, “How about back to 1970?
They continue to lie, lie, and lie.
They continue to think we are so stupid.
