Walter Mondale himself sees a parallel.
Comparisons between the Obama White House and the failed presidency of Jimmy Carter are increasingly being madeand by Democrats.
Walter Mondale, Mr. Carter's vice president, told The New Yorker this week that anxious and angry voters in the late 1970s "just turned against ussame as with Obama." As the polls turned against his administration, Mr. Mondale recalled that Mr. Carter "began to lose confidence in his ability to move the public." Democrats on Capitol Hill are now saying this is happening to Mr. Obama.

The GOP had better clear the way for a dynamic, pro-constitution pro-freedom candidate ready to go in 2012 and not the usual MikeHuckabee MittRomney JohnMcCain BobDole 'but its his turn' candidate or we'll be in deep pucky.
History will (someday) view Carter as Obama-Lite!
Obama will always be the substitue teacher trying to control the class that knows he’s clueless.
I particularly liked this line:
"...[a former Democrat greybeard] told the Economist magazine earlier this year that Mr. Obama is "avoiding the worst mistakes that plagued Carter."Yuh, like not doing a Playboy interview and using the phrase "lusted in my heart" while holding the most powerful office in the world.
Give him time, though, give him time.
Spot on my friend..
We last heard from this loser in 2002 when, after Paul Wellstone died in a plane crash, the dimRAT party chose him as a replacement.
He was beaten by Norm Coleman who has since had the seat stolen from him by Stuart Smalley.
Obama, the seemingly clueless substitute teacher, was sent to herd the school’s classes one by one into oncoming traffic.
No freakin way...I mean, nooooo freakin way.
Carter’s gotta accent and has big teeth and short straight hair.
They don’t at all resemble one another.
Or worse. Can you imagine how much damage he would do if he got to be FDR. He would make Frank look like an America loving Conservative.
Sorry. obama is the very WORST President in US history, James Buchanan included.
And people should notice what Carter and obama have in common: Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Orthodox-hating, Jew-hating, muslim-enabling New World Order-operative foreign policy “expert” (?).

Zbigi and Dhimmi Carter gave us the islamic Republic of Iran and the precursors of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Now Zbigi (acting behind the scenes) and obama are giving us more of the same, and are working toward the development of a one-world socialist/communist empire.
Zbigi was also a mentor to the massive Serb and Orthodox-hater Madeline Albright, whom we call “Halfbright”.
Although Jimmy Carter was an inept liberal and Barack Obama is a communist, the basic comparison is that Carter was weak and effectual and so is Obama, despite being hyped by the liberal media, who are losing their influence by the day. Carter’s stupid policies hurt the nation on many fronts, mostly economically, and so has Obama and his lapdog congress. Our national security was threatened by Carter’s timidity about confronting Iran when the radical Islamic ‘militants’ (in reality, the Ayatollahs) seized power from the corrupt Shah and then seized our citizens and held them hostage for 444 days, humiliating America and setting the stage for the huge problem Iran poses to the world, today. Who believes that in a similar situation Obama would do any better? Case closed.
The RATs have to know that their ship is sinking fast. Wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the walls of Congress and in Zero’s office in the White House? I hope the whole lot of them need Imodium and Valium 24/7.
If I was Jimmy, I’d be happy because now I would only be the 2nd most sucky pres in recent history. Thanks Obumbutt.
Care for a peanut?
Yeah, I forgot about that. Thanks!
