Aafia Siddiqui (DOB used: March 2, 1972) is an MIT alumna in biology, originally from Pakistan. She went missing in 2003 and has three children. In August 2008 she was captured outside an Afghan government building with documents giving recipes for explosives and chemical weapons. During questioning by FBI agents and U.S. military officers she grabbed a gun and started firing on the officials. She was shot in the gut by a soldier and started screaming that she wanted to kill Americans. She was brought to New York in August 2008 to face charges.
upporters of a Pakistani socio-political group Pasban, hold a rally demanding the release of accused al-Qaida associate Aafia Siddiqui, seen at left on the banner, Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, in Peshawar, Pakistan. Siddiqui, 37, was convicted of two counts of attempted murder, though the jury found the crime wasnt premeditated. She was also convicted of armed assault, using and carrying a firearm, and assault of U.S. officers and employees. (AP)
This week a judge sentenced this jihadist to 86 years in prison. The Hindu reported:
"A New York courts decision to sentence Pakistani neuro-scientist Aafia Siddiqui with 86 years of imprisonment for shooting at U. S. soldiers in Afghanistan has triggered outrage across the country with protesters taking to the streets in many places.
"Though the verdict came in around 10 p.m., protesters were up in arms in several cities of the country even as the American-educated neuro-scientists mother and sister were on television venting their anger at the American justice system...
"Hours before the verdict was out, Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit pointed out that Pakistan had been tapping diplomatic, political and legal channels to bring her back."
Let her rot.
Roll 'em out for a demo.
What a waste of taxpayer money. They should have shot her down in Afghanistan when she started firing at U.S. troops.
She seems like your average “man-on-the-street” Pakastani to me.
Wow, another incident of workplace violence.
There must be some clue as to how it all ties together.
I wonder what it is?
Yep.
I tend to agree.
I’m so glad that this woman, an enemy combatant apprehended on the battlefield, is being granted a civilian trial in the US.
There used to be this thing, called a prisoner of war. It was a fine idea in its time, and I think its due for a revival.
Future newsflash: “Siddiqui is applying for early parole, stating as one factor her term as a model prisoner who taught biology and toxicology to Muslim convicts.”
And I am sure she won the “Miss Congeniality” award in the “Miss Anthrax” pageant, as well.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't you people have anything better to do with your pathetic, backassward, 12th century lives? (hey, I think there's a CLUE in there somewhere.)
Give her back to them and tell the Pakis that what she actually screamed that day was that she wanted to you-know-what as many American men as possible. And she did. Hundreds of them.

They did. Gut shot, but lived. Gave her 86 years. She will croak in prison.
Some kind of HUGE prisoner handling protocol screw-up here!
Like someone else mentioned, when she did that they should have just killed her on the spot. Geez. Think of all the money we are paying for the POS.
Bush's fault. I'm sure Obama would have found a way to get her released had he been on top of things, but he's been busy with other things (golf, vacations, etc).
WE KIIILLLLL YOU!!!!!!

If we get a guy f'rinstance, guilty of rape in another country, or even military operations that go beyond what is required or needed, and we the people hear about it .. we don't go rioting and destroying our own land and people ... we call for the perp's head on a platter, wish him ill-will and abide by a court's decision.
Why do muslims primarilly and hindi's have done it too ... why do they go berzerk on their own people?
