According to the only two sentences from the article that were posted here (which is all I read), no Senate Republicans voted for the bill (although two didn’t vote at all).

Astounding. They have succeeded in blocking this and the ‘Nightmare’ amendment inserted into the defense bill.
Good Job now...why do we have Deathcare again?

“We have these nameless, faceless individuals spending huge amounts of money, corporate money and other money. There is certainly no transparency whatsoever,” Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Democrats were playing “pure politics” in trying to stop opponents from criticizing Democratic policies. “They’re trying to rig the system to their advantage. That’s it. It’s quite simple.”
Schumer said Democrats were prepared to move the effective date of the bill to next January so it would not influence the November elections, but that offer failed to win any Republican support.

I think because the RATS used reconciliation even though that trick is only allowed for budgets, and certainly not anything of this magnitude to be imposed on the nation's 1/6 of the economy.
This is just one reason why we are going to CRUSH the RAT party on Nov 2 - for imposing a soft tyranny on us. Most everything they have "done to us" in these 19 months have NOT been in favor by the majority in the USA. THE RATS DO NOT HAVE THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED AND WILL BE PUNISHED.

YIKES! They got only 57 last time. Thankfully it is too late for them to try this again before the election.

"We must remember, it was ONE vote from moving forward...."Correct.
But here's something kind of interesting: The ACLU actually got it right for once, back in July!
Have got to wonder what's going on inside the Democratic Party when the ACLU goes one way and the Democrats in Congress are going another.

Agreed. They Do Not have the Consent of the Governed. We cannot become over confident (although some of today's headlines gives encouragement that the 'push back' is being acknowledged). We have to overwhelm their numbers because I guarantee, they will do anything fraudulent to win. Here in MO, the SOS is running against Roy Blunt and has yet to step aside when a clear conflict of interest is evident. And absentee voting began yesterday. This is only one example.

Could it be, could it be .... spines beginning to emerge? It would be nice to the "party of no", that 0bozo blabs and whines about, become the party of "no more -cram it up your progressive *sses! We are coming and you are going down!"
