A friend told me this was at 70/30 favoring the economy improving if the GOP takes the House. Apparently the word has gone out on the fever swamp lefty sites to hit this and now Dems are slightly ahead.

One has only to ask the question: Where was the DOW in 2007, and where is it now?

Dumbocrats.

Unfortunately the answer is NO. You need to balance the budget, cut taxes and reduce regulations in order to get the economy going again. And no matter how big we win we won't be able to override the Obama vetoes. The best we can do now is try to keep it from getting worse.

We have to manage expectations. If the expectation is that the GOP takes over and everything will be milk and honey we are going to get slaughtered in 2012 when everything is still in the crapper. We need the Congress and the Presidency to fix the damage done by Obama.

Unfortunately the answer is NO.

Disagree. There is a some reason for hope that some of Obamacare could be rolled back and other uncertainty and fear-inducing Democratic agenda items could be repealed or blocked, esp. cap and tax brought to a screeching halt with a GOP Congressional take-over. Those things alone would remove some of the fear factor from the economy and help to get things on track.

I actually think there's a 25% chance with a GOP Congress Obama could be induced into signing a renewal of all the Bush tax cuts for fear of the GOP being able to beat him over the head with having raised taxes as we head into the 2012 presidential race. That would really cause the economy to end its swoon. Don't be so pessimistic. Alot of good can come out of a GOP win, including a rebounding stock market.

Unless they impeach or remove him (BC) then people with money will sit on it until 2012. Thank idiots who watch TV for empowering the left.

Who would build a factory in America? VW pulled out of TN for an engine factory for Mexico. VW did not want to go to TN due to the islamo-marxist in the white hut and the mega mosque in TN. Sad that Tennessee is becoming a muslim state.
