ATLANTA (AP) -- A government study found one in five sexually active gay and bisexual men is infected with HIV, and nearly half of those infected don't know they have the disease.
The study is considered the largest to look at urban gay and bisexual men at high risk for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

That’s part of it, but it’s also the type of sex that is a problem.
Can you imagine how cheap our health insurance would be if we were asked our sexual preference and charged accordingly?
On a similar note....
Rush was explaining today about how Obamacare will not deny anyone coverage. No sir.
But.... when it comes to treatment; thats a different matter.
Avastin for instance. Powerful drug used in fighting breast cancer. Wholesale cost is $7,700 per month. But it works.
But the FDA and Obamacare can’t afford that. So guess what? It’s gone.
Watch out Barack!
guaranteed to be skewed to lower numbers
How much to treat AIDS per month? I tried googling it, but most sites seem pro-homosexual and I’m not sure that their numbers are correct. Many have figures for Africa only.
I don’t know if taxpayer funded treatment for Aids is widespread. My friend died from kidney failure due to Aids because he couldn’t afford the meds.
When AIDS first surfaced in the early 80s, I wrote a letter to the editor saying that basic Public Health measures should be instituted and people with AIDS should be quarantined. Man, did I get a load of responses to that. Other docs upset, county medical society, other counter letters to the editor. I wonder if that were done in the early 80s where we would be with HIV/AIDS today?
I confess that I am no authority on either, so I’m stumped.
I’m very sorry to hear about your friend.
Wow. You weren’t kidding.
It’s as if Google doesn’t want us to know the cost of AIDS.
Either Google or the wankers in Washington DC. Either way - it’s none of our business, right? If you have to ask - you can’t afford it.
Bottom line is - women with breast cancer? Too bad. Can’t afford to help ya.
Queers with AIDS? Not their fault, so yeah - Unlimited resources for them.
FOR THIS REASON GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO DEGRADING PASSIONS; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is UNNATURAL (Literally "against nature"),
and IN THE SAME WAY ALSO THE MEN ABANDONED THE NATURAL FUNCTION OF THE WOMAN AND BURNED IN THEIR DESIRE TOWARD ONE ANOTHER, MEN WIT MEN COMMITTING INDECENT ACTS AND RECEIVING I N T H E I R O W N P E R S O N S THE DUE PENALTY OF THEIR ERROR. (Romans 1:25-27, Emphasis added)
God keeps His word; Homosexuality is sin and the sign from God that He has given that individual over to "degrading passions" because they have "exchanged the truth of God for a LIE, and worshiped and served THE CREATURE rather than the Creator".
According to Romans 1:27; Aids is the "due penalty" of their sinfulness.
While homoseuxals may go on to lose their lives as a direct result of their sinful lifestyle, God still holds out the hope of the salvation of their eternal souls if they will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and after their salvation, repent of their wicked lifestyle.
I was surprised.
He knew the risks. As much as my husband and I loved him, he behaved stupidly. And selfishly.
That's not true. Our friend died in 2005 at age 47 from Aids related kidney failure because he couldn't afford the meds.
How much were the meds?
If I understand correctly, it’s not unusual, particularly for male homosexuals, to be promiscuous and to exhibit risk-taking behaviour.
Yes, because there’s very little chance of encountering blood in military service. s/
Don never said. He was a veteran and I know he got SS when he became too ill to work. But the VA wouldn't pay for his meds. (I don't blame them) And his family couldn't either.
Yes. He advertised on AOL. Idiot!
You have to understand that our whole family loved him but there's no way to excuse stupid.
Hip-Hip Hooray!!!
