My only problem with Walmart is that when they move in all the little mom and pop stores close up...oh and their “fresh” produce sucks.
Of course I take part of the blame in that because I shop at Walmart to get the better prices. Yes Walmart has cheap Chinese stuff, but they also carry the American stuff as well at cheaper prices.

The left has kept WalMart grocery stores out of San Diego and many other major cities, I look forward to someday being able to have that option of shopping at one.

Interesting ... at my local Supercenter, its the produce that is superior to everyone elses in the area ... but the Walmart meat there is sub-par and expensive.

Ironically, an opposite scenario happened in my town of 12,000.
Walmart was sort of centralized. The new superstore opened on the edge of town about 5 miles from the old location.
Before the new superstore, Walmart's competition was one small General Dollar store.
After the superstore opened, there was a large void in the area they moved away from. Since then, a second Dollar General, a Family Dollar, a Dollar Tree, an Atwoods farm supply, a Walgreens, and an expanded USA Drug opened. All of them seem to be making enough to keep the doors open.
