As far as I am concerned he is the most hated man in the GOP, I dislike him 20 times more than McCain even, I cannot believe this guy
When he was on tonight, he wasn’t as negative on her as he had been. He said that she was beginning to answer the accusations, and that would help her a lot.
Here’s what I think: Mark Levin said earlier Castle had released a statement saying he hadn’t ruled out a write-in vote a la Murkowski.
If Rove can get her numbers so low she can’t recover and it’s obvious, castle will come in to save the day.
Otherwise, there is no reason for this stuff from Rove. Had he done it before the election, I could understand it a little better... trying to get his candidate to win. But this serves no purpose but to help coons.
Or rove is just vindictive and trying to get back at christine for her remarks about him.
way to go, Karl... conservatives were expected to shut and support castle when it looked he would win... what rules does rove play by anway? sucks.
We need all the help we can get for her. and he was being pragmatic tonight and quite helpful. Trust but verify as the Gipper would say.
If he is helpful maybe he can talk Kraut into being helpful, although he has been wrong quite a few times lately, and he seems to dislike Sarah. I would hate to read their e-mail.
My comment after seeing this is that when it comes down to it all insider politics, trade offs are big business in DC.
This being Biden’s ex position in the senate, it is seen as “his” seat. A dem seat. A “Biden” seat, like the Kennedy “seat.” Which did not get retained by the dems.
So it “belongs” to Joe's son Beau Biden.
Because of his inexperience etc, it was for certain if he ran this time he could not win.
Therefore apparently a deal was struck between the dems and the GOP for this seat to go to Beau eventually.
If Castle won this time around and got the seat it was assumed that Beau could get it from him in the next election.
The fear is that O'Donnell will effectively retain the seat if she wins it Nov 2.
If Coons wins this time around, he will give it up to Beau when the next election comes around.
What the trade off was/is, I don't know but it must be pretty important to have Rove and other GOPers trashing O'Donnell so bad.
The dems and the GOP old system players are scared to death of the Tea Party Movement and of having a Conservative Congress.
I kinda like the idea...
“There is no reason any thread exposing RINOs should be
pulled.”
There are plenty of threads on FR exposing RINOs. This isn’t one of them.
“One gathers you are in Roves/Obamas/Romneys camp.”
Can’t figure out where one came up with that one, but if it makes one feel good about oneself, think as one pleases.
Jeez, could you simply opus again? Wish I could figure out if you are genuinely insane or if you get off on the responses to your ridiculous vanities ... or both.
The proof is in the pudding. You are definitely right.
His neocon buddies however were not on exactly the same message. Podhoretz, Frum, Gerson, Brooks, Kristol, Krauthammer, Perino, Rove.
Rove actually did say a couple things that were worthwhile.
She does, now, after Hannity, have a really great explanation of the house / 2008 situation. She was trying to save someones life for free.
This post doesn’t pass the smell test. Something funny is going on. No member since 1998 posts a thread, gets 200 replies and a lot of grief and just sits there not saying anything.
This is a setup.
It had better be the night you’re giving your 3 fully clawed cats a bath (at the same time) or some other really good excuse for your failure to reply to what you have wrought.
Rove is an analyst doing his job.
At this point I have to wonder who a Castle write-in would hurt the most. The guy is nothing more than a dim with an R next to his name.
I certainly didn’t like Rove’s comments but it’s simply delusional to paint him as anything but a true blue conservative. Ditto, Charles Krauthammer. They’ve both established their bona fides. I don’t happen to believe O’Donnell can win but she has my unqualified support. I’m sure Rove and Kraut think the same way. In fact, I know they do. And please, Rove isn’t anywhere near McCain in brains or combativeness. Rove goes for the jugular. Too bad McCain didn’t. He should have torn Obama a new one in his campaign, especially regarding the Rev. Wright. I just had this feeling that McCain was fighting with one hand behind his back. He was too collegial by half.
COD is much stronger today than last week and seems to be forgiving, and is moving on. She has a campaign to get through.
COD has lots more defenders than she had before and lots more money, and people are a lot more informed about her.
Karl is stirred but not shaken, and we will have plenty of time to kick his butt after Nov2,2010. 2012 is just around the corner.......
Rove already has done the damage. If he’s backtracking, it’s probably because he realizes he has hurt himself with conservatives who won’t buy his books any more or now change the channel when they see his face.
Rove praising O’Donnell after what he has said is like talking about what a nice house it was after you’ve burned it to the ground - totally meaningless.
The man is right. The woman doesn’t have the kind of record you’d hope for in a city councilman let alone a Senator.
Good people like you just handed the Senate to the Democrats for another two years. Congratulations.
“Anyone who pulls it will face the wrath of the sharks who engaged in the feeding frenzy that was based on an inaccurate statement in the title.....”
How right you are!!!
I myself have been accused of being in the ‘Roves/Obamas/Romneys camp.’
Not sure, but I think I’ve been flamed. :-)
No, Freepers are demanding other Freepers not misrepresent what someone says. It’s about honesty, fairness and maintaining credibility. I haven’t forgotton or forgiven but I’ll be damned if I saw something entirely different on my screen and let people say differently. I may not like Rove but I will not engage in furthering a lie about his conduct on the program tonight just because it feels good to pile on.
The man has been right about very little since about 2004.
Well, it’s true isn’t it? But that doesn’t mean moderates won’t prefer a true conservative over a crazy liberal. They should add that everyone should prefer a conservative to a liberal.
