As far as I am concerned he is the most hated man in the GOP, I dislike him 20 times more than McCain even, I cannot believe this guy
“An attempt at political inoculation? For the Dem and RINO criticisms of O’Donnell after they were as of just yesterday toasting Karl Rove? That would be slick - but I don’t know if it would be necessary.”
Perhaps. But in O’Donnell’s case, she was in a bruising primary but only 6-7 weeks out from general election. She didn’t have the luxury of time, like Rand Paul and Sharonn Angle. They both got similarly pilloried, but over time got their message out and either pulled even (Angle) or surged far ahead (Paul). O’Donnell also was faced with prospect of very little $. Just think, if she had not received all this opprobrium (with the flames panned by stalwarts of her own party), where would she be now? Maybe 8+ points behind, little $, and little chance of making up ground in this very shortened election cycle (for Delaware). Again, I’m not saying this was a strategy, but there are some very strategic thinkers involved here. Also, like most on FR, I was apoplectically furious w/ Rove. But, I was also perplexed. He’s a paid consultant - that gives him far more $ than the Fox gig. What could he possibly gain by being the most visible guy in O’Donnell’s destruction and, as a result, the Repub’s loss of Senate control? I don’t see how he would gain at all. But, being the very visible bogeyman, taking the heat (and he’s gotten a ton), and driving anti-establishment $ into her coffers on an accelerated timetable might make sense -especially as he’s tonight indicating that she’s beginning to “answer the questions”.
Again, maybe too tinfoil-hat-ish, but it provides a possible explanation (admittedly fanciful).
We’re just talking about Rove in general. It’s a great thread.
There is no reason any thread exposing RINOs should be
pulled. One gathers you are in Rove’s/Obama’s/Romney’s camp.
I am in Delaware and have lived here most of 50 years. If Castle runs as a write-in, he hurts Coons and helps O’Donnell.
Trust me.
That’s an interesting statement since Romney was one of the first “establishment” Republicans to come out and endorse her after her win in the primary.
Did I miss something. I listened to him and I garnered he was saying she had done very well in answering some of the questions about her rather shakey past. What did I miss?
Rove is worse than an enemy.
He supports Romney who is Herpes to the GOP.
Now what does that make the bastard Rove?
I’ll take you word for it then. Go Castle Go!!!! heheh
Never mind that minor detail about it's accuracy.
What is your point?
Romney is behind every attack on women in the GOP,
starting with Gov. Palin .. and ending with O’Donnell.
The Mexican Misogynist Romney [spoiler, ineligible, backstabber) PAID for the attacks then “endorses”
her for an attempt at plausible deniability.
It does not work. It will not work.
“Thats an interesting statement since Romney was one of the first establishment Republicans to come out and endorse her after her win in the primary.”
Mitt’s a bit slicker than some of the others apparently.
This thread is what I call a hit & run....no details to explain the statement in the title & no responses from the original poster to back up his charges!
I noticed that, and the goal is apparent.
I almost feel this thread needs to be pulled since it is not remotely accurate.
Agree, it should be pulled.
****************************************************
Anyone who pulls it will face the wrath of the sharks who engaged in the ‘feeding frenzy’ that was based on an inaccurate statement in the title.....
“There is no reason any thread exposing RINOs should be pulled.

Hey, at this point, the thread war is too much fun to sacrifice in the name of accuracy :)
That took some courage, didn’t it?
I didn't see the show, BUT a majority of posters seem to feel that Rove was NOT 'railing against Christine'. IF that is the case; then I would agree. Doesn't change my opinion of Rove, though...not one bit. The damage is done.
No, I originally thought that it was a strategy.
Maybe it is. Maybe the strategy was to get all the neocons kicked out of the Republican Party. That strategy is working well.
In looking at the polls, I’m seeing results recently that do not please me. The Wednesday last week Rasmussen was really good. The Fox not as good, the CNN not as good.
The proof is in the pudding. If Christine wins handily (a very real possibility - she is after all by far the best candidate), we wouldn’t fault Rove. He was out front, orchestrating a complex strategy. He is suspect of being a neocon however. If he can somehow “take the neocons away”, excellent. Because some of these neocons were actually mocking her. Rove is being tough, but I don’t think he mocked her. I could be wrong.
I did not want to think that the Rove attacks were actually hurting, in the immediate time frame. These polls indicate that the attacks did hurt. Would’ve preferred they didn’t.
Karl Rove was the architect of Bush’s two Presidential wins. He also was the architect of the party’s destruction.
Sorry that I jumped to the same conclusion that so many other posters jumped. When people do so many real things to make a conservative angry, it is a waste of energy to get angry over imagined offenses.
Perhaps it should be changed to "Karl Rove Tries to BS His Way Back Into the Good Graces of Tea Party Conservatives"...that would be reasonably accurate. :-)
