TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday Harper Lee's famous novel about racial injustice in the South, "To Kill a Mockingbird," still holds lessons for authorities who seek to fight terrorism while preserving the rights of innocent Muslims.
Speaking at the University of Alabama for a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Lee's only published book, Holder described how Lee's novel illustrates that a system can "grind innocent people into the ground," something he said was important to remember in dealing with innocent Muslim citizens in the United States.

What a bunch of crap. What muslims have been falsely accused and incarcerated and killed? It’s the Christians who have to worry in the world.

On reading this, my mind went immediately to Atticus Finch shooting the rabid dog.
One of my professors in college was related to both Harper Lee and Truman Capote.
One day someone asked about them. He basically thought they both were a joke. I guess Truman could write tho.
Yeah, funny I have never seen or known of an innocent Muslim.
Its difficult for me to focus on the two good things in Islam and cancel out the 1.3 billion bad things.
Innocent muslims?
Now there’s a contradiction in terms equal to “house / senate intelligence committee”.
And after he killed it, he told the kids to stay away from it because it might have a suicide vest on. ;~))
It was also a good reminder that the black guy went free and the bully who was preying on the kids ... like all Islamists do when terrorizing people ... ended up with justice at the hands of a vigilante named Boo Radly.
Justice is anything but blind (color or otherwise) under Holder’s DOJ.
I think it’s true that every Muslim has the potential to be a terrorist or destroyer, simply because their “religion” is a crazed political death cult focused on the conquest of all around it. However, many of them are not terrorists.
But I have not seen one single case of one “innocent” non-terrorist Muslim being “persecuted.”
Muslim Terrorists were amateurs compared to the Comanches.
The secret of the Texas Rangers was the "full court press", a total, non-stop offensive. If three Texas Rangers saw an entire band of Comanches they were on the attack - relentless and ruthless.
Do that and the terrorists will disappear, anything less is a waste of time.
Holder doesn’t know enough to draw a comparison with “Mockingbird”. In reality “Papa” is the reference for the Moslems, and the population at large is more representative of the poor young black man. Holder, of course, is the daughter, and the defense attorney is Sarah Palin.
Everything is seen as Black vs White, oppressor vs oppressed, haves vs have-nots. They refuse to see that this is about people who slice Jewish necks while singing religious ditties.
Note to Holder: According to the Quran there is no such thing as an innocent muslim as it says to kill the infidels, that’s us, wherever they find us.

The way I recall it, the innocent black man was found guilty by the jury and while Atticus is getting ready to file his appeal, he gets shot dead trying to escape.
I think in Eric Holder’s world view, “crackers” are never “innocent people.”
