With nothing else working, President Barack Obama is asking religious leaders to help him sell the public on health care reform.
POLITICO listened in to an Oval Office conference call Tuesday, where Obama, alongside other top administration officials, beseeched thousands of faith-based and community organizations to preach the gospel on new insurance reforms, chiefly the Patients Bill of Rights.
Get out there and spread the word, Obama told leaders from across the religious spectrum on the conference call, organized by Health and Human Services Center for Faith-Based and Community Partnerships.
This is something that well be able to look back on, just like we do on Medicare and Social Security, as a cornerstone that improves the security of millions of Americans, at the same time lowers costs and gets control of costs, both at the government level, but also for families and businesses," he added.
Obama instructed faith leaders to treat the new law as settled fact and use their perches of power to convey that message to congregants and friends.
The debate in Washington is over, the Affordable Care Act is now law ... I think all of you can be really important validators and trusted resources for friends and neighbors, to help explain whats now available to them, he said.

The job of religious leaders is to bring people to G-d.
And for those religious leaders that are confused. Zero is not G-D.

Following the lead of the Obama health care mandate, religious leaders are now drafting legislation that would make a 10% tithe mandatory for all Americans under the penalty of law and enforced by the IRS. /s

Preaching POLITICS from the pulpit? I know that the undocumented Kenyan boy kings rules the IRS, but this is clearly not legal to preach for one candidate over another or for one party over another. Only can preach political issues and polices - this will go over the line if the clergy are being asked to support the RAT party who brought you Obamacare.

Obama still has most of the Black churches in his pocket. It will be interesting (and heartbreaking) to see which big name evangelical pastors fall in line to support him.

0bama and his agenda are un-Godly. These religious “leaders” had better get closer to the real God.
It’s all damned disgusting.

Okay what part of this man is deranged and needs removed from power immediately will ever happen? Obama is beyond ludicrous.

I think Mr. Skittles believes religious leaders should be more involved with the secular needs of their parishioners than their temporal needs. You have to hand it to him for chutzpah, imagine thinking religious leaders of all denominations should support his political mistake? One might think Mr. Skittles has a high opinion of his opinions.

I was thinking this very thing plus there was a muslim speaker he wanted to hear but it was under reported of course.

Can you imagine the uproar if Bush did something like this?
The hue and cry from the msm would be deafening.
