Poised, sharp as a tack and focused! Go Christine! She's turned me around!
I'm not the one snarking at conservatives on every thread.
I work for lawyers who do pro bono work.
Good for you, you want a cookie?
How much pro bono work can one do to not meet their personal obligations?
No one apparently had any problem with it in her two previous races. Why are they focused on it now?
I've never seen any pro bono work on any case that would take so much time for this to happen.
But if she was a moderate Republican you wouldn't care.
Another incomplete answer by her.
Wrong, she gave a complete answer.
There was no appearance of any mud sticking to her. Nice cool calm collected polished, looked great sounded great, improved her 2008 answer. Just had to save the lady for free. The right thing to do.
She could polish up a little bit on “the constitution”. She isn’t a “real” Limited Constitutional Government tea partier.
She does come from a socon background, and she, rightly, is indicating that she doesn’t want to make this campaign a referendum on things like masturbation, witchcraft, gay marriage, abortion, etc. The socons know she’s their spokesperson going forward, but they know that she now just has to do the boring stuff like every other Republican out there.
She could spend a little bit of time really getting to know exactly how to say the fedgov does a lot of stuff that the US Constitution really doesn’t allow.
She doesn’t need to have a long list of departments she’d abolish, but a sentence or 2 indicating that she does have a philosophical grasp of this stuff. The Constitution Limits the power of the Federal Government. The Government does less, the people do more etc.
She smacked down the bloviating buffoon BOR very neatly.
I’d be delighted if you’d post a report of the luncheon on this forum and ping me. I’ve got a funny feeling that this lady is going to defy the oddsmakers and eek out a narrow win. Don’t ask me why. My head can’t explain it.
I’m glad I didn’t have to be the first one to say that ;-)
But I’ll second your assessment.
And as an attractive female conservative we know what we will be hearing from the Left for the next six weeks.
Hillary! How are things at the State Department?
I thought she did a great job on the 2008 house issue.
1) Helping the Terri Schiavo of Delaware. I didn’t know that. Wow, good stuff. It doesn’t pay the money, but it’s the right thing to do.
2) She had to oppose Biden. It’s not bringing in money like a paying client, but it’s the right thing to do.
In both cases, she chose doing the right thing over making money. A good person.
Time for you to grow up and act like an adult and address people correctly and respectfully.
Her answer was still a little bit complete, because we’re talking about a period of years, not just a short amount of time.
And, like I said, she did good. Too much “for the people of Delaware” simply because we’re talking about the United States Senate and a majority.
Did anyone see Dana Perino following O’Donnell’s interview?
She was still fairly dismissive of Christine, echoing the “we need answers” meme.
Hugely bummed about her RINOism.
I shall get some pics as well.
And will report back.
I can attest that lawyers can and do F up pro bono and paid work as I have seen it done to my wife’s family. Nothing surprises me about lawyers anymore.
Ask Hillary and then let us all know.
I am not a fan of the vanilla and bland Perino—she did not help defend Bush during her tenure, just kept up her unruffled ‘best little girl” thing. No passion, no palpable convictions, just that pacticed little half smile.
As far as I’m concerned, she’s one-dimensional and over-packaged and way overexposed. Boring.
Greta will be replaying the interview.
These elections - particularly the ones won by tea partiers and palanites - are really drawing out the RINOs - the oh so wonderful “moderate Republicans”, the Bushies (note Rove and Perino), the entrenched dynastic repubs who viewed their seat as a birthright. I’m a big Man vs Wild fan and recently saw an episode of Bear G. in the Mojave desert. At one point, he took out a UV blacklight flashlight and strikingly illuminated the scores of scorpions crawling all around his campsite. This election - like that blacklight - is strikingly illuminating the RINOs and pundits who are solely in this for themselves.
I will be at that ladies luncheon she referred to.
Got anything you want me to ask Christine?
****************************************************
Nothing to ask - just tell her to fight like hell and win.
I donated to her campaign the night she won! I’m behind her 100% GO CHRISTINE!
One reason to think that Christine will get the win, narrow or otherwise, is that R’s are kicking ass this year.
Unlike Primaries, which are on different days in different states, the General is the same day everywhere.
There’s no way to know until election day exactly how big tea party and conservative and republican turnout is going to be.
I know that some likely voter screens require a 2008 vote.
The last one I saw did require that 2008 vote. A lot of tea partiers sat out 2008.
And that overal vibe that we got going on here, which is basically - We must stop Obama - is going to carry the day.
People are pissed and they’re going to vote. In Delaware and everywhere there are pissed people.
Some independent and moderate voters might not like Christine as much as I do. Ok. I love her. But after the non stop Christinefest craziness subsides, she’s by far the better candidate, right on the issues, in a year we’re winning.
If they use 2008 in their voter screen, and they do, often, the polls are going to be way way off. Look at the last poll before the election, and add numbers to the Republican and take numbers away from the Democrat. I don’t know how many and I’m not sure really that anyone does.
I’ve got a funny feeling that this lady is going to defy the oddsmakers and eek out a narrow win. Dont ask me why. My head cant explain it.

You are NOT ALONE in your feelings!
Yeah, her unlisted phone number ;-)
Thanks! So great to have someone to report directly on things on the ground there.... Please ping me as well when you post a report!
I agree - she was excellent tonight!
