Holdren uses free market to get back to Stone Age - John Holdren (now “science” advisor to Obama)
Jonova ^ | September 17th, 2010 | Joanne

Nearly 40 years ago, John Holdren (now “science” advisor to Obama) wrote a book with the infamous Ehrlichs. In the “recommendations” at the end of 1973 book Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions, they said: “A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States”.

It’s a weird use of the word. But, there is no mistaking “de-develop”:  to undo development, to go backwards, to get rid of advances….

And it was hardly a juvenile slip of the tongue.  37 years later, all this time passes, and when asked about that passage, he acknowledges it’s still on his agenda:

“What we meant by that was stopping the kinds of activities that are destroying the environment and replacing them with activities that would produce both prosperity and environmental quality. Thanks a lot.”

CNSNews.com then asked: “And how do you plan on implementing that?”

“Through the free market economy,” Holdren said.

Just imagine what twisted, sicko “free market” would freely choose to do some de-developing?

Holdren’s version of freedom is just another grand control scheme: “Let me tell you how to live”. “Free market” has become the false advertising banner of the totalitarians. A market is not free if you have to coerce people or jail them into joining the market.

Just like Obozo's buddy Richard Sandor.

“Once you price CO2 and put a price on it, you find, as you would with any other product, it tends to be rationed. We as a people on this planet have lived under the false concept that air and water were free. And we’ve learned with a planet of 7 billion people, that we have to ration these precious goods. And the good old price system is the best way to do it.”

And we the consumer play the role of cow waiting to be milked.

John Holdren in 1971: “New ice age” likely

**************************************EXCERPT****************************************

Wed, Sep 16, 2009 at 1:53 pm

In 1971, John Holdren edited and contributed an essay to a book entitled Global Ecology: Readings Toward a Rational Strategy for Man. He wrote (along with colleague Paul Ehrlich) the book’s sixth chapter, called “Overpopulation and the Potential for Ecocide.” (Click here to view a photograph of the table of contents, showing Holdren’s essay on pages 64-78; click on the image to the left to view the cover.) In their chapter, Holdren and Ehrlich speculate about various environmental catastrophes, and on pages 76 and 77 Holdren the climate scientist speaks about the probable likelihood of a “new ice age” caused by human activity (air pollution, dust from farming, jet exhaust, desertification, etc.).

Below is a direct scan from pages 76-77 in the book Global Ecology, with an exact transcription on the right.

(Following this section, scroll down to see the extended passage from which this quote was taken, with more context and more discussion.)

John Holdren is now not only the “Science Czar” for the United States, but he’s also one of the original leaders of the “alarmist” wing of the Global Warming debate — and he now promotes the notion that the current climate data points to a looming planetary overheating catastrophe of unimaginable dimensions. (He helped make the charts and graphs for Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth, for example.)

My personal opinion is that Holdren is a “doom peddler” who latches onto the nightmare-scenario-du-jour — overpopulation, nuclear holocaust, global cooling, global warming (all of which he’s trumpeted at various points in his career) — and then wildly exaggerates it in order to scare the public into adopting his politicized “solutions.”

But I’ll let you read the following quote and decide for yourself how you feel about John Holdren’s predictions. (And make sure to read the extended passage below, for more insight.)

The sons of bitches in the White House think that the US is just using TOO MUCH and we have to be forced back into turd world status to bring the world back in line. Well, except for the elitist like himself who will get special exception because HE and others who will oversee the decline of the US NEED special treatment.

In michigan we’re denying permits to build clean coal fired power plants based on a lack of necessity but we’re giving out permits for wind farms despite the supposed lack of demand.

Should have asked Holdren one more follow up question:

“Who is your favorite free market economist?”

Holdren’s “sustainable well-being” appears to be a nearly identical concept to what is known as the United Nations’ “Agenda 21”, which articulates the concept of “sustainable development” that is currently institutionalized in the Division for Sustainable Development of the U.N. Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

Its funny how liberals often object to Conservative views as “takeing us back” as if in technology, and here they actually want to do that lol.

I must admit it is very difficult to comprehend what liberals could possibly have going on in their heads as “progress”, as clearly its not technology.

What is their “end goal”?

Rush Limbaugh's Morning Update: De-Develop
September 21, 2010

A guy named John P. Holdren is the Obama science czar. His official title is: "White House Office of Science and Technology Director".

In 1973, Holdren and environmentalist-wacko authors Paul and Anne Ehrlich wrote a set of "recommendations" to restore the environment in North America. Top of the list: "de-develop the United States." "De-development," they said, meant that "resources must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses in overdeveloped countries, to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries."

Holdren and his pals said we need a "low-consumption economy in which there is a much more equitable distribution of wealth than in the present one," to "provide" a decent life for "every human being" on the planet.

Now, why is this important? Well, Cybercast News Service  recently caught up with Holdren and asked him about it. Sure enough, he stood by his 1973 recommendations to transform America by de-developing it. On Tuesday, September 14, 2010, Obama science czar John Holdren said he would use the "free market economy" to implement his vision. He reiterated that de-developing the United States meant "stopping the kinds of activities that are destroying the environment, and replacing them" with activities that would produce "environmental quality." In other words, activities wackos approve of.

For those of you who still wonder what Obama meant by fundamentally transforming America -- stop. These liberals fully intend to destroy the country you knew, and in its place, build one in their image... and they're well on the way to doing just that.
