I think he just mangled the sentence structure a little. What he meant was: "it was more important that I became an ex-president than it was for any other president."

At least until the current guy, that is.

What he really wanted to say was..."Quit with the comparisons. I was a much better president than Obama."

.................Carter is preparing for a huge national funeral.................

Maybe the folks at Habitats for Humanity can build his coffin with all the leftover miscut 2x4’s, bent nails and out of square plywood.

My tagline for much of 2008, including several months before the Dem nominee was decided, was:

Obama: Carter’s only chance to avoid going down in history as the worst U.S. president ever.

I’m sad to report I was right.

JFK was a better “former president” by a long shot.
That’s sick.

It’s also FUNNY, but very, very sick.

lol

I was working at HQ USAFE when this a$$hole was president and let me tell you, the stories I would hear from gov’t contractors would curl your toes....living in Germany during that time was amazing....the Europeans thought he was an idiot.......I was back at Eglin AFB when he ran for reelection and a bunch of friends of mine who were flying F15s election night all called me once they landed and were ecstatic that he’d been defeated....truly, we celebrated!

“”I feel that my role as a former president is probably superior to that of other presidents,” former President Jimmy Carter told NBC News.”

Sounds like this guy:

“You know, there’s like a boat-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I’m pretty good with a bow staff. Napoleon Dynamite”

Rush made a comment last Thursday and said it so fast I have heard no one that picked up on it.

Rush: "Jimmy Carter is the worst President we ever had, until now."

When Carter was President I was so busy with my job making a living I didn't notice or care. He was always a joke at the bar.

If anything...maybe superior to the current occupant of the Oval Office.

I still think the Jimmy Carter we’ve know is not the real Jimmy Carter...
the one that survived Naval Nuclear officer training during the reign
of Adm. Rickover.
Because the “Jimmy Carter” that served a single term as President
was certainly nobody that could have survived Rickover’s pressure-cooker style.

(As far as I’m concerned, this low-life ba$tard belongs in jail.)

If it where up to me, I would yank his passport and tell his secret service detail to not let him off his own property.

Did you know, that on the FIRST day in office, Jimmy Carter gave blanket amnesty, forgave, all the Vietnam draft dodgers. What a start he got off to huh?

Navy scuttlebutt has it that Jimmy was stood to attention by ADM Rickover and invited to resign his commission or be court marshaled. He did not leave the Navy because he had to run a peanut farm. I never heard why the admiral extended that invitation.

Actually, he IS superior to most of the other former presidents, except for the ones that are still alive.

“...truly, we celebrated!”

IIRC, I was at Nellis by then, and we celebrated, also. I was pretty non-political back then. Much less so, now. Something about growing up, I believe. Something Jimmy apparently never did.
