Rasmussen: Voters feel closer to Palin than Obama, 52/40

And it’s not even particularly close. In a revealing portrait of likely voters in this midterm cycle, a majority of respondents to Rasmussen’s survey say that Sarah Palin more closely represents their point of view than does Barack Obama. The man who won the 2008 presidential election, on the other hand, only resonates with four in ten likely voters:

Fifty-two percent (52%) of Likely U.S. Voters say their own views are closer to Sarah Palin’s than they are to President Obama’s, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Just 40% say their views are closer to the president’s than to those of the former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate.

Among the Political Class, however, 68% say their views are more like Obama’s, while 63% of Mainstream voters describe their views as more like Palin’s.

This is the boom year for Republicans. They will not have it this easy as this politically for maybe another decade. The last cakewalk like this for them was 1994. Next year may be a bad one for Obama too(or may not) , but not like this one. The bigger they win in November the more of a challenge to keep it going.

Obama is digging his own grave!....All he has to do is open his mouth and say anything! It doesn’t matter anymore.

Voters think Hillary Clinton is more qualified to be president than Obama, but most believe that both Democrats are more fit for the White House than three top Republicans interested in the job, including Palin.

This is because most people think that someone who is an incumbent or has lived in the WH would know more what to do than someone who hasn’t. This doesn’t take into account that Obama is a failed President and that Hillary has been his accomplice in a failed foreign policy.

By being virtual Prez, Palin is demonstrating the judgment that outshines Obama on every issue. By Nov 2012, she will be shining brightly and he will be seen as a burned out bulb.

Obama most probably couldnt get re-elected this year, as with Clinton in 1994.

No doubt...that is the primary reason why they hate Sarah Palin here in New England...

This Rasmussen poll may represent a major turning point in the fortunes of Sarah Palin. Here are some reasons:

1)No longer can she be considered polarizing with indie voters or unelectable. Clearly she can now beat Obama.

2)Skeptics and doubting Thomases, especially conservatives on our side will now have to take a serious look at Palin now without regard to the 2012 GOP primaries.

3)This poll definitely makes her the frontrunner for the 2012 GOP nomination.

4)This poll bring Palin a major step closer to full LEGITIMACY in terms of being qualified to be the POTUS.

5)Palin will be able to command more influence and exert more political leverage during the fall midterm campaign.

5/87, eh?

Wow... his views are closer to their own.
I didn’t know that 87% of the “black community” sought the destruction of the capitalist system in America and the lowering of America to third world status.

I have also and now today we have twice so far seen hints floated about Bitme being next in line or Palosky possibly. Are they hinting that Obomination may be out for the October surprise?

These Rasmussen poll results prove that even two full years of the left relentlessly criticizing, mocking and smearing Sarah Palin she still has a favorable rating from a significant segment of the voting population. I believe this is due to the fact that she is authentic (what you see is what you get - no pretense) and that her values line up with those of most Americans. The days of needing an ivy league education, a law degree and years in Washington, D.C. warming a seat in congress, is no longer the default criteria for a political candidate seeking the presidency. Decades of putting such folks into high office have practically ruined our country on many levels, mostly economically, and the voters are fed up with it and seeking real change, not vapid political theory and empty promises. Sarah Palin is definitely a force to be reckoned with and even the left realizes this - and fear that reality. Good!

That internal you listed proves once and for all that “moderates” are simply Dems embarrassed to say they are liberals.

People confuse moderates with independents.

The welfare state, LBJ’s great society, “the government owes us” mind set, you betcha.

Sick and sad.

TRILLIONS wasted. More poverty today than in the 60’s.
The complete dumbing down of America.

Talk about an epic failure, this is it.

That’s right - they told Rasmussen they were moderates, but they were really liberals, and the admitted liberals were really far left liberals...lol.

Charles Krauthammer and Jim DeMint are saddened.

DeMint? What's your problem with a sitting senator that endorsed O'Donnell before the primary?

Hussein will not serve out his first term, I have been saying this for a while.
He will be impeached, or he will resign.

People are predicting 40-60 seat for the republicans because of all the “safe” democrat seats. I’m not sure how many “safe” dem seats there really are. Could be a very small number.

Impeaching the President would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. In 2012 there will be an election. Let the voters take care of him. If anyone tries to impeach the president during the recession, then they would be attacked by the media.
