In the words of Beck -- what does he mean? (THIS LIBERAL "COLUMNIST" JUST KEEPS GETTING DUMBER)

Carrots vs. fries, pledge on politicians are tummy-turning

So if I've got this straight, Glenn Beck is in favor of childhood obesity? Sometimes it's difficult to figure out exactly what Beck means when he's working that chalkboard and firing up the crowd.

Example: Appearing before about 5,000 hard-core fans last Saturday night at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates (seating capacity, 11,000), Beck said: "Will all of you raise your right hand and swear you will stop sending politicians to the rest of us!"

What does that mean? He's asking the people in the audience to stop sending politicians to the people that aren't in the audience? He's asking them to pledge not to vote for politicians? Beck delivered that line with great passion, but if you can interpret that pledge in a way that actually gives it some meaning, please do.

Then there was this zinger, aimed at first lady Michelle Obama, who in a recent speech to the National Restaurant Association advocated kids' menus at restaurants featuring "healthy sides like apple slices or carrots the default choice in a menu and make fries something customers have to request, which would hurt me deeply, [as] I'm a fry lover."

That's never happening, of course, because fast-food franchises make kabillions of dollars peddling fries and McStuff to the kiddies -- but it's hardly a controversial, anti-American stance.

Yet Mr. Beck seemed greatly offended by Obama's cause, saying, "Get away from my french fries, Mrs. Obama! First politician that comes up to me with a carrot stick, I've got a place for it. And it's not in my tummy."

Raise your hand if you agree with me that nobody over the age of 5 should ever invoke the phrase, "my tummy."

We'll keep our carrots to ourselves Rest assured, Mr. Beck, nobody is trying to taking away your inalienable right to munch french fries or to find tributes to Mussolini in the artwork of Rockefeller Plaza or to transform yourself from a Morning Zookeeper to the keeper of the far-right flame. If you can sell your brand of, um, patriotism to more than 5,000 people on a Saturday night in Illinois, if you can sell tickets ranging in price from $77 to $1,200 (which included a meet-and-greet), good for you.

And if you want to put tight restrictions on the media coverage -- no interviews, no footage of your speech after the first three minutes, etc. -- even as you're calling for more freedom and a more open government with Beck, isn't that something?

That's what makes America so great.

And entertaining.

If Dopey Roeper is putting on a dense act here, he's a little too good at it.

Yes! At last! They’re on to us. We are in favor of childhood obesity, dirty air & water—they finally caught on!

How stupid are these people? I thought once you got past the age of 4 you could get out of the either/or mode of”reasoning”.

Does the author of this article not know that McDonald’s already offers apple slices (apple dippers, hello?). Just another liberal elitist who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

What amazes me is how these liberal clowns always seem to quickly get to the most moronic conclusion >>> “So if I’ve got this straight, Glenn Beck is in favor of childhood obesity?”

Second there's this: <.i>even as you're calling for more freedom and a more open government with Beck,

Was this a Government sponsored event Mr. Roper?

It's anti-free enterprise. It IS anti-American.

She's a glutton and she wants laws to "protect her from herself" when it comes to personal restraint and french fries. That is NOT the role of government.

What a friggin' idiot.

And he's the fool taking over movie reviews for the fat guy who wrote porn scripts?

There is more evidence that Planned Parenthood protects rapists from being discovered.

Rape is good for the abortion business. PP offices across the country refuse to report suspected child abuse to the authorities as they are required to do by law and “abortion for victims of rape” is more widely supported than for “just because”.

Michael Savage claims it is a disease, maybe so, seems a mugging is the only vaccine available.

LOL...typical liberal...he can't grasp the difference between a private event vs government transparency. Honestly, can't they find someone to write for liberal websites and newspapers with an IQ above 70?
