President Obama will answer questions about the economy at a town hall meeting that is scheduled to air at 12:00 PM on CNBC today. Obama has been working overtime to defend his administration's record on the economy, firing back at Republicans who want to blame Democrats for the bad economy. The President has been on the offensive over the past few weeks, accusing GOP lawmakers of blocking key aid to small businesses and tax cuts for the middle class.

Noon?
That leaves open the 2:00 T-time. [Golf, not Tea]
You’re right- though I’ll be watching the Dow and forex to see what happens when he opens his mouth:)
1. MY small business doesn't need any government aid! It needs CUSTOMERS! Gov't subsidized 0% loans do absolutely nothing if there's no business and no reason to hire anyone! Business is only going to pick up when the Demonrats and Obama are run out of town on a rail. Small business confidence in Zero's administration is below zero.
2. Tax cuts for the middle class??? Does he mean extension of the Bush tax cuts? Someone also needs to tell that economic moron that health care "reform" amounts to a HUGE tax increase for small business and by extension the middle class. Again, it's a tax on hiring unemployed people -- which wasn't likely to happen anyway, because there's no business out there.
I usually have CNBC "on" with the sound "off" in my office. I'm going for a jog at noon today -- I can't stand to even WATCH that imbecile. I'll give him one thing -- I'm paying A LOT less in taxes now!
If my 401K is in the bleeper, should I take the red pill or the blue pill?
Q. What should be expected when both parties make trade deals to ship customer's jobs and our manufacturing plants to other countries?
A. First customers tap out their credit cards, then their house ATM machine, then their stimulus money, then their unemployment, then they stop buying things.
This is like a Stalinist show trial. The questioners will all be handpicked as will the audience. Part of the Axelrod/Plouffe propaganda machine. No one will watch except the MSM who will then send it over the airwaves and into the print media. The vast majority of people have no interest in hearing the same stuff over and over.
He set it for noon hoping to “jam” (like raido jam) the Rush Limbaugh Show..
He also has white house staffer Harwood doing the interview. That is a bit incestuous.
This is about Obama “looking presidential”.
The medium is the message.
Will it be in front of a live audience or will they use a “laugh track”?
You gots to know obammy will have a hand picked crowd and those who are allowed to ask questions will have had them given to them by obammy officials.
In other words a dog and pony show if ever there was one.
Is this the Town Hall meeting that they were taking applications from Princeton graduates for attendees and having them submit their questions in advance?
That’s nothing more than a staged media event. Typical
Since the recession is over ....

If you define “recession” as the period of economic contraction, then maybe it is over. However, what we most definitely are NOT in is a “recovery.” Instead, I would call this a period of “stagnation,” which considering that we entered it at a low period of economic activity, is still a very bad thing.
