Former top Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson is a Washington Post columnist, and there is never a better time for right-leaning columnists to lean left than in the last weeks of an election season. (See George Will trashing Sen. George Allen in the last weeks of 2006.) His rant also may have granted Gerson a seat on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday.
Gerson not only denounced Christine O'Donnell as a wacky candidate like Alan Keyes, he denounced "the childish political thought of the Tea Party." He insisted conservatives were like Bolsheviks. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin and talk show hosts like Mark Levin were "unhinged" against Karl Rove.
Gerson wants to suggest that the Tea Party people are unhinged in their rhetoric, and then he compares them to murderous Russian communists. Remember this the next time Gerson agrees with a liberal that Obama shouldn't be smeared with foreign associations.

I think of it in terms of....
Members of the Ruling Class fight over who holds the One Ring and the Tea Party just wants to take the damn thing and chuck it into Mount Doom already.
Of course the RC is going to bristle.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph. 6:12
I am glad this is happening now. It is flushing out the RINO and permanently placing them on the sidelines.

Politico: Bush aide (Michael Gerson) backs Obama on mosque
Politico ^ | August 14, 2010 | Ben Smith and Mike Allen (JouroListas)
As long as we have The Fed, with our property confiscated through income taxes to support it, the looting will continue.
“”the childish political thought of the Tea Party.””
“Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” -Matthew 17:3
Oh, yes, and she just own it some day!!!!
Thanks also for the neocon information, and for your insights on this thread.
Woke up this morning very ready for getting Christine elected here in DE.
He is given way to much credit imo.
Bush II is a one world order statist just like his old man. I used to get ridiculed for saying it. Of late I have received apologies from several of my acquaintances.
I think the good folks here on this thread are all seeing elements of the same thing.
And that there is not much time to peacefully effect a solution to the damage being done.
Now is the time we talk to EVERYONE--work,family,friends--and get them to see that their future and their children's and grandchildren's future is at stake. November 2nd is D-Day. We storm the fortress on Capitol Hill via the ballot box,and V-DC Day is only a matter of time.
It is not about power. It is about the survival of a free country that was bequeathed to us by others and their sacrifices.
This is our time to step into the line of patriots that stretches back to 1773.
The RINO traitors are just showing their true colors and how they look at the rabble in the base.
I’m thrilled we are outing all these scumbags.
Patty Murray is a night light bulb.
Christine O’Donnell is a 100,000 candlepower searchlight.
And she is a fighter. And we cannot let her fight this battle on our behalf by herself.
Glad to see you up for the fun.
Shutting down Foggy Bottom is ALWAYS a good idea.;)
Good observations. Thanks.
Test Karauthammer?
I already have:
Krauthammer wrote this, and IMHO he is a liberal extremist whio is so elitist as to appear “conservative.”
Krauthammer is done IMHO.He is scrap detritus.Krauthammer has joined the Obama Utopian crowd that wants to destroy America, he has far more in common with them.
“”Ultimately, a civilized society must disarm its citizenry if it is to have a modicum of domestic tranquility of the kind enjoyed by sister democracies such as Canada and Britain. Given the frontier history and individualist ideology of the United States, however, this will not come easily. It certainly cannot be done radically. It will probably take one, maybe two generations. It might be 50 years before the United States gets to where Britain is today. Passing a law like the assault weapons ban is a symbolic - purely symbolic - move in that direction. Its only real justification is not to reduce crime but to desensitize the public to the regulation of weapons in preparation for their ultimate confiscation.” - Charles Krauthammer, “Disarm the Citizenry,” The Washington Post, Friday, April 5, 1996, page A19 “
The man is a mad hatter in a wheel chair, to whom no one should pay the least attention.
Excellent point--and we can never forget it.In the life to come, I don't want to face those heros who gave up their tomorrows for me, and I squandered it.
As Christine said--it is a time for choosing, and we have to set the dialogue with our fellow Americans that the time is Novemebr 2nd.
November 3rd will be too late.
Your assessment is correct. I first heard the term “Neocon” in the late ‘70’s. It was applied to a group of largely Leftist Jewish intellectuals (Irving Kristol, Nathan Podhoretz, Gertrude Himmelfarb, Richard Perle, but also included Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Daniel P. Moynihan, et al.) who had begun to reject the ways of Marxism, seeing a strong America as a source for international good. They advocated American power projection and a vigorous defense of Israel.
For the most part, Moynihan being an exception, they didn’t give a rat’s about domestic policy. They are all Big Government types - no friends of Liberty!
We're in this battle, and we must forget what the source of our Power must be in this fight.
God is no through with America yet. It must still shine as the beacon of freedom, justice and human decency to a very messed up world.
But not with this Congress in power.
Nov. 2nd is the time for choosing.
The Fed and the income tax need to go.
It took 97 years, but the looting is almost complete.
Then come the shackles.
Think about it.
Thanks for the info on the neocon term.
