Former top Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson is a Washington Post columnist, and there is never a better time for right-leaning columnists to lean left than in the last weeks of an election season. (See George Will trashing Sen. George Allen in the last weeks of 2006.) His rant also may have granted Gerson a seat on CBS's Face the Nation on Sunday.
Gerson not only denounced Christine O'Donnell as a wacky candidate like Alan Keyes, he denounced "the childish political thought of the Tea Party." He insisted conservatives were like Bolsheviks. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin and talk show hosts like Mark Levin were "unhinged" against Karl Rove.
Gerson wants to suggest that the Tea Party people are unhinged in their rhetoric, and then he compares them to murderous Russian communists. Remember this the next time Gerson agrees with a liberal that Obama shouldn't be smeared with foreign associations.

Gerson, Rove, Krauthammer, Castle and Murkowski are providing the examples of a elite establishment not willing to hear the voters. Their narcissistic view of power and their entitlement is endangered by the victories of Tea Party-supported candidates.
Huggies is going to have to come up with an “Establishment Size” Huggie if this keeps up.
Sounds like Gerson et al are becoming unhinged.
Another disgusting RINO reveals himself.
No surprise, Gerson supports the victory mosque too.
“He insisted conservatives were like Bolsheviks. Bloggers like Michelle Malkin and talk show hosts like Mark Levin were “unhinged” against Karl Rove. “
What the heck is with the people that worked for Pres. Bush? Are they insane?
Perhaps not, but to a man they appear to have been Establishment Insiders.
No. I think people are just now finding out what the Bush administration was all about.
LOL! That right there is funny!
There must be something really big at stake, bigger than what we can see, or know right now.
Christine threw a cog into the works.
All this uncalled for vitriol is not for nothing.
She kicked the hornet's nest--and I want to know what was in the nest.
What is unfolding before our eyes is NOT normal.
Once a speech writer for President Bush, and I see now where Bush’s “Islam is a religion of peace” nonsense came from: Gerson.
I believe he’s got that backwards. WE (the tea party) are not the Bolsheviks - THEY ARE! We know communists when we see them and we’re coming for them and they know it!
They want all of us to shut up like we used to a let them rule.
Screw them. We are going to run them out.
That in itself is disturbingly twisted. The obvious analogy is to the "reactionaries", which is actually a fair label, if you want to go that way, but Bolsheviks? Obama is freakin' Lenin, if you think about it.
Well, Rush is always telling us, "They're 180 degrees out of phase."
Recall when Bush declared us all to be anti-American for opposing "amnesty" for the criminal wetbacks?
More “ruling class” versus “country class”.
We don’t need the “ruling class”.
What could be bigger than stopping the Marxists and their statist allies from destroying our Country?
Our country.
George Bush, best stay undercover. If he relates to these people, then the little respect that I have for him and his presidency will vanish in thin air.
You did a great job to our country. You carried the torch, but flinched in the conservative conviction of Ronald Reagan. I was totally a backer of yours until the Harriet Miers nomination, and then your succumbing to spending our country into debt...and your failure to stand up strongly when you could see the fannie mae etc debacle that was to unfold.
In the end you get a good grade in my regard, but if you are part of the ROve and company pack that is out to discredit the Tea Party people, then I suggest you stay in the shade... and fade away...
Sincerely,
me
