In a wide-ranging interview published Saturday, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg characterized the recent increase in Tea-Party rancor as a temporary development in American politics.
"I think there boomlets come along when the public is dissatisfied," he told the New York Times. "There was a Ross Perot boomlet, there was a John McCain boomlet, theres the Tea Party boomlet."
"Anger, however, is not a government strategy," he added. "Its not a way to govern."
Bloomberg's skepticism of the Tea Party movement is consistent with his record of endorsements this election cycle. He has backed centrist Republicans and Democrats who he deems capable of compromise Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) in his reelection bid, Republican Mark Kirk of Illinois and Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) for Senat, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) in his reelection bid, and Democrat John Hickenlooper for governor of Colorado.

I must have missed the John McCain boomlet. Bloomberg is such an idiot.
I know this guy has made lots of money. But that is no excuse to be such a greedy arrogant schmuck. We shall see if the desire for freedom and Constitutional governance will be enduring or short-lived. Bloomy should know something about risk. He compares apples with oranges when comparing Ross Perot to the Tea Party. I’m betting on freedom as an enduring desire and that reigning in the Marxists elitists ruling class types like Bloomberg is not going away any time soon!
With “Republicans” like this why is there a Democratic party?
The guys is completely clueless as to what all this is about.
Or where its going...
Bloomturd is a filthy piece of trash. NYC gets what it deserves from this little cretin.
...and we are psyched! GAME ON!
Can someone ‘splain why some politicians spend $100 million to get elected into $100k “job”???
It amazes me that Bloomberg made so much money.
He comes off as dumber than a box of rocks. Can’t stand the twerp.
The New Media makes all kinds of “new realities” in politics.
The amorphous organization of a nation united under the US Constitution is going to make Washington Politics as usual increasingly irrelevant. It WILL eventually tame the spending and deficit juggernaut.
“purposeful”
Quite easy. Quite simple. A voting record. Non-Constitutional voting gets you on the wrong side of the Tea Party. End of story. End of Political career.
That’s really simple...Really easy to implement.
Makes me wonder if he's one of those rich guys who claims to enjoy paying taxes. If so, we have a motive.
Please remove this self-actuating political leper from my sight ASAP
Is Bloomburg trying to convince himself or we in the T Party?
I don’t think Bloomidiot is getting enough salt in his diet. It wouldn’t hurt if he had a cigarette, too. The tea party name may disappear but the resolve of those involved to return the government to the people will not. Nov 2nd is just one event in a long struggle to cleanse our government of assholes like Bloomberg.
AMEN!
All his money has made him intelligent don’t cha know. Arrogant and pompus as well, sounds a little like cuomo
We’ll just watch that “boomlet” blow his fat, stupid, arrogant ass all to hell.
STFU Blommie. You have no clue what happens in this country off the island so why do they even ask you?Clue to you Bloomberg America does not need you out of NYC.
CT AND NY have Bloom-inidiots!!
What would a dictator know about “governing”?
