LOL did they take them all into custody for their safety?
Were they afraid the ‘sect’ was going to believe that Jupiter was a spaceship, and they could hitch a ride out of here if they offed themselves?
Praying.........a high crime for sure.
If they resist, shoot them...They could be dangerous!!!
Aw, shucks. Shoulda’ looked there first.
Good thing they weren’t inside. Some armored vehicles could smash all of the exits and the building could catch fire.
I imagine they’ll be arrested for praying in a public place on land owned by the gubmint. That’s “unconstitutional” donja know. Unless you’re a muzzie. Then it’s okay. Another set of laws kick in.
Open up on them with rubber bullets, then lob in some CS gas...If they keep praying, bring in the heat ray. Make um do the chicken.
“Missing Calif. sect members found praying at park”
Yeah? Did they have a translator there to find out if it was prayers?? None of ‘em speak English.
Authorities in southern California said they were searching a desert outside of Los Angeles for the group.
The sect includes three sisters, aged 30, 32 and 40 years, a 19-year-old man and eight children, aged eight to 17.
It is headed by cult-like leader Reyna Marisol Chicas, according to officials. The sect consists of El Salvadoran immigrants and Chicas is a 32-year-old woman from Palmdale, in northeast Los Angeles county, Cpt Parker added.
The sect also left behind mobile phones, identification documents and deeds to property.
Authorities search for missing members of cult-like Palmdale group
[snips]Five adults and at least eight children are sought in what a CHP alert describes as a potential suicide plot. A sheriffs captain points out, however, that documents left behind dont mention suicide and the group has no history of harming themselves.
Among those missing, the CHP alert said, is Reyna Marisol Chicas, 32, described as the leader of the group.
But as sheriffs patrol cars and several helicopters were scouring the Antelope Valley for the group, former neighbors of Chicas painted a different picture, describing the Salvadoran immigrant as a simple woman who hadnt been schooled beyond the fifth grade and could hardly keep a job
Giron said his family was close to the Chicases. They said Chicas often lied about minor things like her job status -
Girons wife, Jisela, attended a few times and said Chicas was always there, her children in tow. The church, she said, was a typical Christian congregation. Sermons were in Spanish....... there was nothing that made the largely Latino congregation stand out.

They’ve got training films of the heat ray used on prisoners...Ya think your on fire...These people were doing back flips trying to get away from it. They looked like insects under a magnifying glass....But it causes no internal damage to the recipient.
If it was a Public Park when is the ACLU going to sue them?
