Town Hall bosses are asking staff to take part in a 'heterosexuality quiz' so they can gain a greater understanding of what it is like to be gay.
The quiz, devised by managers at Buckinghamshire County Council, is part of an equality and diversity course called 'Respecting Sexuality'.
Questions, which are described as a 'twist' on those routinely asked of homosexuals, include 'What do you think caused your heterosexuality?', 'Is it possible your heterosexuality stems from a neurotic fear of others of the same sex?', and 'If you've never slept with a person of the same sex, how do you know you wouldn't prefer it?'
(edit)
The Buckinghamshire council course is just one of a series of publicly funded equality and diversity sessions uncovered in a series of Freedom of Information requests by The Mail on Sunday. Cardiff, Slough and Cheshire West and Cheshire councils have also incorporated quizzes in their sessions. In Slough, employees ask colleagues questions from a specially prepared grid such as 'Can you sing a few lines from a Supremes song?' and 'Do you read The Guardian?' Staff at Cardiff City Council are challenged to name the inventor of the 'great British classic car the Mini', and to identify the symbol used to celebrate the Chinese New Year. (edit) 'To see councils wasting money on such a ludicrous, politically-correct exercise in that environment is disgusting. 'Ensuring that councils don't discriminate doesn't require such insane attempts at a superficial understanding of different communities.'

My Merriam-Webster says dissembling is hiding under a false appearance. Now you say I’m not?
...soft and wooly sweaters too magical to touch....
They were not yes or no questions. And you ignore most of what I post and only pick that which is convenient.
Go to bed stuart. I'm trying to eat. This thread won't go anywhere while you sleep.
Perhaps you should have a nice cup of tea. Tea is lovely, isn't it?
LOL! GMTA.
You are trying to blame him for man's failings. Doesn't work that way.
If you cant or wont answer a yes or no question,
How dare you try to tell another poster how to answer a post. I have answered your posts more completely than you wanted me too. You want simplistic monosyllable answers, go talk to a DUmmie.
But I take your point that just pointing to scripture is only going to have an effect on a sub-section of the population.
Most of these arguments revolve around placing aspects of God's nature in opposition to one another. Thus, "how can we as mere Humans have Free Will to make independent decisions, in the light of God creating us and knowing all about what we are and what we do and what we will do". It's akin to questions like "Could God ever create a universe so large that even He could not encompass it", which pits God's omnipotence against his omnipresence. The answer is that such an attempt would involve a contradiction of the very being of God, which is impossible. In simple terms God could create a universe so large that even He could not encompass it (because God can do anything), but He knows better than to do it! One of His other attributes, after all, is omniscience!
So, to our original question. God does allow us to make our own decisions, but His knowledge and control of the universe is so complete that it can encompass even the zillions of possible futures that creates. This is not something that any Human Being can ever fully grasp, because as has been pointed out, our perception of the universe is limited by our perception of space and time, which God exists out of. But even this makes sense. After all if God is truly God, and all knowing, all powerful, and so on, is it logical that our Human minds would be able to understand Him? The suspicion arises that a God that could be fully understood by the mind of Man is most likely a product of the mind of Man.
A nice post.
Thank you.
Hypothetically, yes or no: YOU see a vicious rape/murder. If seeing and knowing something equals being responsible for it as you stated, then you are responsible for the crime.
I'll add my two cents: to be honest, quite frankly I think people project their own feelings about homosexuality onto God, and by those feelings I mean how they feel about homosexuality or homosexuals totally independent of God. If you're wigged out by homosexuality, you're going to believe God doesn't dig homosexuals and neither should society.
God gave His opinion of homosexuality at Sodom and Gomorrah.
If that's the case, why's He giving San Fran a pass? Or Fire Island? Or P-Town?
There is no reason to believe that He is giving them a pass. I have no idea what He is doing or will do. I only know there will be a price to pay for unrepentant sin. No one gets a pass on that.
Well, San Fran, Fire Island, and P-Town have been pretty gay places for some time now. How long did God give Sodom and Gomorra before he dropped the tactical nukes on those places?
And they are reaping the rewards of sin with Aids, "Gay" Bowel Syndrome, anal cancer, Proctitis and Shigella just to name a few.
The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah were not totally confined to Homosexuality.
I have no idea what God will do, or why God does the things He does. I don't pretend to know the will of God; I am but a fallible man wholly incapable of understanding or even comprehending that which is God. I only know that He exists.
You, however, seem to have a direct pipeline into all these things, so I figured you'd be the right person to ask.
So God saw fit to drop Fat Man and Little Boy on Sodom and Gomorrah, but not (as of yet) San Fran, Fire Island, or P-Town. Were there uber gays living in Sodom and Gomorrah or something? Did they crack a level of gayness we haven't seen since? What's the deal?
Yeah. That’s why it talks about the men of the town demanding the angel visitors for sport. And why it’s called sodomy. But you are right, homosexuality was not the only sin. It never is.
