Republican Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell doesn't need Facebook to dredge up her controversial past statements.
As a sometime conservative pundit a decade ago on Bill Maher's former show, "Politically Incorrect", O'Donnell said (in an appearance that wasn't aired) that she dabbled in witchcraft.
In the clip shown last night on Maher's current show, "Real Time," O'Donnell said:
"I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. ... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. . . . "

You’d think her detractors would find this to be a positive for O’Donnell.
It’s like the loons out there who protest clergy sexual abuse wherever the Pope goes—it’s the same people who otherwise extoll the virtues of “man-boy love” etc. but just don’t think priests should do it. What? It’s suddenly “perverted” if a priest does it?

They only get on people that promote moral standards and fail. Not that these people aren’t hypocrites (and worse depending what they did) but the people NOT trying to live up to ANY standard of decency shouldn’t get a free pass simply because they never said they’d try to be good people.
It’s like if you’r scum and you act like scum, the left leaves you alone, what do you expect from scum? LEave them alone. If you’re out there saying “hey don’t act like scum” and fail yourself, then that’s worse than the scum living like scum. They view hypocrisy and in some cases a one-time personal failing as being worse than a person living an entire lifetime as scum because they’re scum and at least they’re not phony.
For the people who are leading double lives and being scum while ripping on others who are doing what they do in secret, they are hypocrites and need to be exposed. If it’s a one-time slip up on someone’s part it is not the same thing.
