Pungent article by Quin Hillyer with bracingly hard questions for the now-unmasked Karl Rove. A man who has shown that he cares little for conservative principles but lots about getting 'electable' Republicans on the ballot. Electable translating to quasi-liberal RINOs that will swing left on a moments notice once safely in office but will pretend to hold a few 'conservative' positions in their speeches while they 'reluctantly' vote for Democrat bills that harm our economy, our security and, ultimately, our freedom.

During Karl Roves' meltdown on Tuesday night when he pointedly criticized the winner of the Delaware Republican primary for senator, Christine O'Donnell (he hasn't stopped, yet) Rove sounded more like some Democrat hack than anything else (I thought I was watching MSNBC for a moment). This elitist temper tantrum convinced me that Rove and others are Beltway elites who just don't want to face the reality that Obama is destroying our prosperity, our security and our freedom.

Ordinary Americans are rightfully frightened and angry - and determined to stop this slide toward European socialism, led by Obama, Reid and Pelosi. Guys like Karl Rove just see it all as a big chess game, moving the pieces around and the hell with that 'principle' stuff. Why, that kind of talk can make you 'unelectable'.

As Rush Limbaugh and many others have posited: who is Karl Rove, Charles Krauthammer or any other GOP 'insider' to tell the American people who and who is not 'electable'? They can go pound sand. I just hope that Fox drops Rove as soon as possible because I'm getting sick of looking at and listening to him and his lame explanations of why he bashed O'Donnell, while he keeps on bashing her, subtly, of course. Enough of these alleged Republican 'geniuses' that see politics as a big game and fail to realize the enormous stakes in the upcoming election. We, the people, can win elections and govern without their 'expertise'.

Great post, Jim. A worthy editorial.

Very well said...!

It doesn't matter that I've been saying this for months and months-

***Rove is not what he pretends to be---he's an imposter!!***...

..but I'm sure glad Rove has unveiled himself for everyone else to see

Republicans/Conservatives gave this bunch unquestioned loyalty and support for many years.

We’ve treated them like royalty, seeking them out and paying to hear their words. We’ve treated them like celebrities instead of the PUBLIC servants they pledged to be and got paid mightily for it, by all of us.

They hold out carrots of being pro life, strong on defense, and we just melt like silly teenagers at a rock concert. It’s just like the minorities, unions, etc. who give unquestioned support to Obama and the democrats.

It’s just the opposite side of the same disgusting coin.
And they are ALL just humans, some more so than others.
Most of them are up for sale to the highest bidder, R or D.

I just hope and pray that republicans get a spine/conscience and start cleaning their own house. They can’t clean up the democrat mess without cleaning up their own first. Republicans showed that spine when they wouldn’t defend Nixon. We’ll see if they get rid of the egotistical hacks like Rove, Norquist, Gingrich, Armey, McCain, Graham, etc. that just keep promising and just keep selling us out. It’s called being USED. I, for one, am tired of it.

And this nonsense about ‘support the best conservative that can win’.......

OKAY, GOP big shots....give us a CONSERVATIVE instead of your liberals with an ‘r’ and we will! Until then, I will vote for the only conservatives in the race.

BRAVO! Jim Scott! Standing Ovation for you.

Whenever a fossil incumbent gets defeated in a REPUBLICAN primary, it’s time for the punditry that’s supposedly “on our side” to suck it in and take the side of the winning nominee.

Casting aspersions and worse, is better left to the opponent’s people, and MSM.

Karl Rove and Charles Krathammer to a lesser extent, just can’t let go. I guess they’re both into “proving they’re the smartest kids on the block” when in fact, they’re both completely out of touch with the electorate, even in Delaware which is close to their beloved Beltway.
