I get sick when I hear FReepers agreeing with this kind of thing. Do you want a Free Republic (the country) or laws that suit what you like, only? FREEDOM means freedom. People can live the life they want. Not YOUR religion and sexual tastes.

Remember that every sexual act a gay couple performs are performed also by heterosexuals somewhere in the country, even if not by you personally. How would such a law even go into action? Who really wants police going into people’s bedrooms?

I do not know (nor do I want to know) what goes on in YOUR bedroom, and as long as you are consensual adults, I sure do not want the police to come in and take you down for whatever you might be doing. Why do you wish that for your neighbor?

It's about making homosexual acts illegal, as they were in many or most states before the TX vs Lawrence bad decision by SCOTUS, taking more power away that should be states'. It's all about making such acts illegal so they have to stay in the dark corners and not promoted in schools or in public. And so those that practice such acts have no legal basis for special "rights".

"I looked at that and said, 'You've got to be kidding me,'" state Sen. John Brueggeman, R-Polson, said last week. "Should it get taken out? Absolutely. Does anybody think we should be arresting homosexual people? If you take that stand, you really probably shouldn't be in the Republican Party."

I'll wager 10 quatloos that Buggerman is gay.

Since I regard homosexuality as a mental illness, this makes about as much sense to me as making schizophrenia illegal.

Having said that, this would be about #2547 on the list of “injustices” about which I’d worry much.

This article starts with an outright lie. Homosexuals have not been "gaining victories". They have pushing their agenda forward thanks to their "agents" in the judiciary.

I am totally on board with making homosexual acts illegal. That doesn't mean seeking out people who are engaging in butt-sex in their own homes. It means slapping a heavy extra penalty on perverts get caught in sodomy in public places like parks and rest-stops.

It is way past time to stop coddling these creatures. We've given them enough slack and now they mean to rule us.

The liberal motto: “What isn’t prohibited, shall be mandatory.”
