Montana GOP policy: Make homosexuality illegal
Associated Press ^ | 09/18/2010 | MATT VOLZ,

At a time when gays have been gaining victories across the country, the Republican Party in Montana still wants to make homosexuality illegal.

The party adopted an official platform in June that keeps a long-held position in support of making homosexual acts illegal, a policy adopted after the Montana Supreme Court struck down such laws in 1997.

The fact that it's still the official party policy more than 12 years later, despite a tidal shift in public attitudes since then and the party's own pledge of support for individual freedoms, has exasperated some GOP members.

"I looked at that and said, 'You've got to be kidding me,'" state Sen. John Brueggeman, R-Polson, said last week. "Should it get taken out? Absolutely. Does anybody think we should be arresting homosexual people? If you take that stand, you really probably shouldn't be in the Republican Party."

Gay rights have been rapidly advancing nationwide since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Texas' sodomy law in 2003's Lawrence v. Texas decision. Gay marriage is now allowed in five states and Washington, D.C., a federal court recently ruled the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy unconstitutional, and even a conservative tea party group in Montana ousted its president over an anti-gay exchange in Facebook.

But going against the grain is the Montana GOP statement, which falls under the "Crime" section of the GOP platform. It states: "We support the clear will of the people of Montana expressed by legislation to keep homosexual acts illegal."

Montana GOP executive director Bowen Greenwood said that has been the position of the party since the state Supreme Court struck down state laws criminalizing homosexuality in

Since I regard homosexuality as a mental illness, this makes about as much sense to me as making schizophrenia illegal.

Having said that, this would be about #2547 on the list of “injustices” about which I’d worry much.

Except that I have to go make jam before pounds and pounds of peaches go bad.

so one is banned and then a little while later some one signs up and posts right on the thread which the other poster was banned for.

They're a lot like the Viet Cong in that regard.

no what is a joke or immature is a person who is banned and then signs up under a different name right away , who then jumps right on the thread from where they were banned while still not understanding that this site is not a site for some to push an homosexual agenda.

Now that is a joke .

why do you do it?

The difference is that if schizophrenics formed associations and forced the professional mental health groups to de-list schizophrenia as an illness, then had parades celebrating whatever crazy and dangerous actions their mental illness impelled them to do, and had schizophrenia clubs in school getting kids to try doing such acts (suicide? I don’t know what things schizos do to act out).

But since all that is theoretical, there is no comparison.

Now that’s a good comparison! Very driven, very evil. And sneaky.

But imagine if you’re gay, or if you’re gay in Montana.

Yes you would have to give up eating feces and drinking urine, just awful it brings tears to my eyes, and what ever would we do with the over supply of gerbils?

You’ll get no argument from me. I’ve joked to people that if Homosexuals have “Pride Parades,” there ought to also be “Schizophrenia Pride” and “Manic Depression Pride” parades, too.

My point was in reference to making it illegal. Just as “Gay Pride” parades make no more sense than “Manic Depression Pride” parades, outlawing homosexuality makes no more sense than outlawing manic depression.

Bad comparison. No on is organizing “Schizo Pride Parades” or clubs in schools teaching kids how to be schizos, or making rest areas and public bathrooms into schizo hangouts.

Homosexual acts were illegal for most of our country’s history and only because of militant homosexuals and their leftist assistants has that changed.

It’s not a good thing, and there is no comparison to other mental illnesses, since they don’t go out and recruit kids and demand special “rights” for fellow nutcases.

It’s a good idea to stay out of other people’s bedrooms, especially when they are destroying their families and generations ahead and behind them, as well as societies, states and nations.

More importantly, the homosexual method of thinking ostracizes them from a fellowship with God. Not that there aren’t a myriad of other methods of thinking which similarly destroy such a fellowship, namely extortion, liars, swindlers, adulterers, fornicators, murderers and a litany of others. In each of those perverted vices, one can also present rational arguments how such behavior is allowable in some twisted situation.

The only problem is that the people who lust for that thinking, are NOT just an alternate lifestyle, but they do know they can present themselves as such during their more sane controllable moments, and then let loose of their perverted inhibitions when they believe nobody will hold them accountable.

It is the same type of thinking as a mafioso thug who extorts money or murders unless he is paid money to satisfy his worldly lusts. He generally will not murder in public, because he knows he will be held accountable. In private, the most villainous rage is then loosed and murders are condoned in the name of controlling vice.

Condoning and decriminalizing illicit behavior doesn’t encourage virtue. It will greatly accelerate crime of the most heinous sort.

BTW, the intentions of those promoting homosexuality today isn’t simply to avoid others probing into their private lives. They have well announced their intentions to mold society into not only accepting homosexuality, but they desire an anathema upon heterosexuality in a couple of generations. Don’t assume criminals are the same as virtuous people,... they aren’t. Homosexuals are some of the most corrupt people living today. They’ve also have learned how to present themselves in a socially acceptable fashion so as to allow their perversions to continue unabated within their groups.

We also have not begun to quantify and qualify the large numbers of destroyed families which have never been repaired due to this criminal perversion.

Two zots in one thread, not bad. But probably multiple personality disorder as well.

Quote what they are advocating and give a link.

If you insist:

"We support the clear will of the people of Montana expressed by legislation to keep homosexual acts illegal." - Montana GOP Platform.

It's under the section titled "Crime".
