Fresh off her victory in Delaware, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is riding a wave of campaign cash but also internet infamy, thanks in part to her controversial statements -- most notably on masturbation -- in the late 1990s on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect." Christine O'Donnell says one of her first dates occurred on a satanic altar.
On Friday, Maher released on his new HBO show, "Real Time," an unaired clip of O'Donnell admitting to a brief dalliance with witchcraft.

I believe that more and more every day, the name calling and incivility on this forum is at an all time high, as if the Daily Kos crowd or Democrat Underground, has established more than a foothold on this site.

She talks about her first date — that must have been indeed when she was very young — if a Dem had said what she did, they would celebrate her as someone who has an open and inquiring mind.
This just shows how desperate the Dems are and how much they fear her and a Republican takeover of the Senate, to dredge up something like this that happened probably at least 20 years ago.
Unless you think that some dark force is pushing Christine O'Donnell to run for Senator of Delaware I think we can safely rule out ritual-dabbling as being detrimental to her serving as a good conservative.
Agreed. This attack is ridiculous. Christian churches are filled with former felons, drug addicts, atheists, etc. Repentance and forgiveness are at the center of the faith, and this should not hurt her.
She is not a perfect candidate, but she is the Republican candidate for Delaware Senator. Who are you going to support, a former witch or a tax hiking marxist? After Brown and Christie, how can anyone say a well-funded candidate can’t win.
Here in AZ, Dems have 4 of 8 Congressional seats. 2 are already gone; and the 3rd (AZ 5) should be. The dems were only “guaranteed” to hold one seat; Grijalva’s. But, from a local blog - Espresso pundit:
Herstam had the most interesting prediction. He thinks that Congressman Grijalva might be in for a serious fight. He cites polling that says the race is a dead heat.
Fight for every seat, including O’Donnell’s.
What’s the big deal? There’s probably millions of Twilight fans read to one-up this story and/or experience. Look in the Hot Topic in the mall and behold :)

People...get a grip here! This is really really much ado about NOTHING......watched the video and was expecting some horrid stuff, instead it made me laugh. This show happened when it was a “fun” show and quite amusing at times so appreciate it in the context in which it was delivered...pure entertainment. There is nothing to worry about. The real practicing witch in government right now is Pelosi...known as the wicked witch of the west. If people want to call Christine a witch, it will be the Good Witch!

I understand that...I was referencing his belief that many of the sign-ups over the past few years at FR don’t seem to be interested in advancing the conservative agenda...I agree with him.

She was a kid and she had no idea what this guy was into by her own admission in the very same interview. She had no idea what the altar was. This is a bunch of nonsense. So she went out on a date as a teenager with a loser she knew little about. Who hasn’t done the same.
Maher is a loathsome individual who weekly makes an idiot of himself in a left wing echo chamber. Who on earth cares?
