Moderates (GOP) Successfully Reinforce Image as Untrustworthy Hacks
National Review ^ | 9/17/2010 | Jim Geraghty

Between Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist, Mike Castle refusing to endorse O’Donnell — a forgivable sentiment the day after a bitter defeat, less so as time goes by — and the rumor that Murkowski is running, the RINO-hunters have a point that the moderates never seem to be willing to compromise or put the party’s interest first.

The NRSC will help elect a lot of winning GOP candidates this year, but between Specter, Crist, and Murkowski, they have had an embarrassing cycle . . .

I cannot wait to read the reports of money from liberal and Democratic groups flowing into the Alaska and Delaware races.

Traitors. Vichy Republicans. Always scolding Conservatives about big tents and compromising, but just like their liberal brethren they cannot and will not compromise.

“These RINOs just don’t get it.”

Oh, they get “it” all right- “it” being the selfish pursuit of power.

“Traitors. Vichy Republicans. Always scolding Conservatives about big tents and compromising, but just like their liberal brethren they cannot and will not compromise.”

I recall some of the screeching posts here on FR through the years, from people demanding we support their worthless Rino’s. They always ginned up fear of Democrats and said having someone who is with us a fraction of the time is better than nothing. Again and again we held our noses and voted with the screechers and bullies for idiots like McCain.

But when our candidates win, the Rino’s sell them out, either clandestinely or quite openly. The Rino’s we once held our noses and voted for routinely appear on news shows to undermine us and our candidates, once elected.

Many of the most vicious attacks on Sarah Palin during 2008 came from the Noonan’s and Parker's of the world.

For people who praise ‘civility’ and ‘respect’ for others, blah, blah...they sure are a vindictive, mean-spirited bunch when they don’t get what they want.

Why is it that Liberals with an (R) behind thier name are called “Moderates”.

They are not.

They are liberals, with (maybe) a small part of thier worldview that could be called “sorta-Conservative”

I am voting for Miller.

The NRSC needs to get rid of its policy of supporting incumbents. It’s just plain idiotic to assume the incumbent is the best candidate.

H-ll yeah!

I’ve honestly gone from sitting on the fence on that issue to being a diehard supporter in the span of about the last three days...

Spoiled brats who want to take their ball and go home when they lose. Or rather, take someone else’s ball and go home. If her constituants are unhappy with the outcome of the election they should just vote for someone else. The candidate pulling this shows that they of all people can’t be trusted with power.
