Election '10: An iconic pundit and strategist takes heat for his election night analysis of a Tea Party victory in Delaware. Can we now focus on those who are really leading America over the cliff?
Karl Rove's political street cred is beyond dispute. He's the guru who, to the dismay of Democrats and liberals still clinging to their hanging chads, guided that cowboy from Texas, George W. Bush, to the White House twice. When he speaks, people listen.
On Fox News last Tuesday, Rove ran off a laundry list of everything that's wrong with Christine O'Donnell, the candidate backed by the Tea Party Express and Sarah Palin who won the Republican Senate primary in Delaware. The Democrats, he said, would pick her apart on personal "issues" such as how she paid off her college loans.
The reaction from the "angry mobs" that became the Tea Party movement was fast and furious. Many thought Rove's remarks would be a good commercial for O'Donnell's Democratic opponent in November, Chris Coons.
Rove could have better spent the time marveling at the political force that has propelled Joe Miller in Alaska, Sharron Angle in Nevada and now O'Donnell to victory against entrenched political interests. An unelectable Scott Brown, R-Mass., now sits in the "Kennedy seat" in the U.S. Senate and the unelectable Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is poised to join what promises to be a most interesting GOP caucus in that same body.

Here's another take on it: "Dance with the one that brung you."
In spite of the polls, in spite of the dirt Cable was slinging, O'Donnell won. The people have spoken: O'Donnell won. She is now the duly elected cadidate for the republican party. If Rove is such a stalwart party man it would have made more sense for him to swallow his pride, jump on board and promote O'Donnell.
What purpose did it serve for him to go postal on national TV just because his favored candidate took a good old fashion butt whuppin'? Is he as thin-skinned as Obama?
Rove may believe O'Donnell is unelectable but he also believed she was going to lose to Cable. Tea Party backed candidates have been beating the early polls with regularity this season and it's not beyond belief that she could turn the numbers around in the next seven weeks.
The Arcitect said the Democrats, "would pick her apart on personal "issues". And he then proceded to lay out the strategy for them to do just that.
Now Rove has added an extra burden to O'Donnell's campaign and given the democrats plenty of ammo and talking points. If his goal was to make sure his prediction of her loss is validated he just took a big step to fulfill his own prophecy.
.
But the Tea Party movement has the collectivists so freaked out at this point, even the RINOs are coming out from underneath the bed to scream in fear.
"Fasten your seatblets, it's going to be a bumpy night."
Hey that’s my brother’s name too! Force Recon Marine for the last 18 years! Ooh-rah!

On what bases does anyone assign political genius to Rove?
He took a GOP Congressional Majority and possession of the White House and turned it into a absolute political minority.
His only claim to fame is winning 2 Presidential races by the skin of his teeth and being completely wrong in his forecasting before the 2006 and 2008 elections.
Sorry but I see no evidence of any real genius from Rove other then that at marketing his reputation
Rove was an active agent, even if unpaid, of the Castle camp.
Rove has never acknowledge that connection. He has repeatedly billed himself in his slanderous attacks on O'Donnell as "just a political analyst" giving his "objective opinion".
That is lying by omission.
That Rove has not made full disclose of his connections to the Castle campaign indicates a clear conflict of interest and a deliberate attempt to mislead Fox News and it's viewers.
When you know of his connection to the Castle camp, his comments are a whole lot less credible
The 9-12 Project published the fact Mr Rove contacted them for the Castle campaign asking them to switch their support to Castle.

I KNOW that...you wrote to the wrong person, I think. I LIVED in Seattle when he got it STOLEN from him!!
Hey, Karly boy—Christine is a much better candidate than Jorge Arbusto, the one who with your guidance barely beat Al Goreleone and Lurch Kerry.
He won't, he was bad mouthing her again tonight. This makes 3 times counting election night that he trashed her.
Take a breath . . . Rove is as entitled to his opinion (and advocacy) as you are. What’s with the over-the-top incivility?!
[Rove’s one of the good guys. If you must demonize someone, why not focus on those ‘someones’ who are actually trying to destroy this country?]
Karl has one purpose: to advise the party what to say, where to appear, how to behave, and who to schmooze to get elected. His purpose is only to win. He cares not one wit about US citizens, or their pain or suffering. He simply studies them so he’ll be able to manipulate them for those who would pay him. He’s no different than the ragin’ whats his face. They just entertain different clients (but not much different).
Karl got egg on his face in Delaware. When he loses, it lowers his marketability to the fools what hire him. That’s why he’s pissed.
For him I have little but contempt.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clarify. I was correcting myself, and replied to my post but addressed it to you because my original error was in the post to you.
It may seem trivial to some, but I wanted to correct my error as soon as possible.

It’s going to be a very interesting senate. I hope she gets elected. I just listened to her speech to the Values Voters and it was terrific! You could tell she wrote the speech herself, she’s not practiced, but boy is she sincere.
Ah, yes, those squeaker wins after 8 years of the Clintons against "no ruling legal authority" Algore and "I voted for the war before I voted against it" Jean effin Kerry. Impressive. /s
Why don't you go have that chat with Rove. He is the one who is doing everything he can to demonize O'Donnell. All I did was report the facts about his connections here.
Rove has connections to the Castle camp and has never disclosed that. That is the sort of conflict of interest that would get you fired in the private sector
So rather then shoot the messenger because you find the message unpalatable,, why don't you have direct your focus on the one DOING the demonizing, Karl Rove?
He is on Fox 24/7 they are trying to save him, They need him for election night. But he is through we hate him and the Panel.
......to the fools what hire him. .....
That crack is uncallled for and is far off the mark. He is a professional and has at least one very excellent client who was President of the United States and is no fool.
Pompous self sanctimonious selfrightousist chest pounding is out of order.
Think you got who is engaging in "over the top incivility" backwards here.
