In the most anticipated speech at today's Values Voter Summit in Washington, Delaware's new GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell ignited the Omni Shoreham ballroom with a tangible buzz. She strode onto the stage to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," with orange spotlights sweeping the room. (None of the other afternoon speakers got a light show.) The packed crowd gave her an enthusiastic standing ovation, continuing to applaud long after she took the podium.

LOL
I don’t know what to tell you. It’s too bad people can’t admit what’s obvious.
It’s funny how after years of attacking the Democrats for their cult of personality crap with Obama, we do the same exact thing over and over.
I don’t think of much of O’Donnell based on what I’ve seen of her. Do I want her to beat the dem? Damn straight I do. But I’ll be damned if I’m going to start praising her just because she has an R after her name with her quite obvious shortcomings. She has my support, but she has a long way to go to earn my respect.
“Christine ODonnell has no resume.”
If only the GOP had said that about our current PRESIDENT. I don’t blame Delaware for giving her a chance as one of a hundred senators. And I am optimistic that she will be more conservative than Castle.
In 2008, she was unable to pay the mortgage for her Wilmington house and the mortgage company gained a judgment against her for $90,000; the house was due to be sold at a sheriffs auction in August 2008 when she sold it the month prior to her campaigns lawyer.
What snobbery! D.C. is swarming with people who’ve lived on easy street. We could use more like her to help broaden their perspective. Maybe we should make that a freaking REQUIREMENT whenever our ‘wise’ leaders create such a financial madhouse! Sure it sounds crazy, but the clowns running things now sure as heck don’t bat an eye over trillions pissed away!
You earn a position by EXPERIENCE, whether it’s in the public sector or private sector.
One does not jump into the United States Senate without a qualified background.
Maybe she is the first of many libs who realize they are going to have to retool their journalistic brains if they want to make a living in the future.
” It appears that Charles Krauthammer and Karl Rove are correct in their analysis of candidates. “
Both will deag you straight to hell. Enjoy the ride.
That is an example of her “checkered past?” Sheesh! She could have just let the bank take it instead of coming up with a buyer thereby saving her and the bank money.
Krauthammer and Rove blew it because, even if their predictions are fulfilled, they will be blamed for her defeat. It’s lose-lose for those two.
Was Obama any more qualified? We need more non-politicians
in the Congress.
High finance scandals are plentiful in D.C. Rezko for example — that’s what I call a scandal. I’d be tempted to suggest to O’Donnell to site the Rezo defense. [But honestly, I’d think long and hard about such bravado.]
Krauthammer doesn’t bother me. AFAIK he hasn’t detailed a list of false accusations against her and he wasn’t an active participant in Castle’s campaign and conveniently forgetting to disclose that as a conflict with objective analysis.
Rangell is on the verge of going to prison but no one is saying he is unelectable.
You certainly have a point, there, AW!M.
Good point.

No one is saying that Waters is unelectable either.

“... they tried to display large campaign signs just as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was about to speak ... signs that defended Waters from the ethics charges she is facing in the House.”

Uh, oh...I'm starting to draw a parallel here...some other female with shortcomings...can't quite think of her name...well, gotta go!
Have a great weekend, GOP_Lady!
admit this...if daddy or mommy have money you can fail classes, retake the bar several times, get any number of appointed jobs by big shot friends.
...ODonnell had none of that help......
put Kennedy or Kerry or bama without their rich friends and connections, and what would they claim as "experience"?...NOTHING.....
dang it you're making me make another contribution to Christine and I am running out of money!
