First Lady Michelle Obama told the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Legislative Conference on Wednesday that her “Let’s Move!” campaign to end childhood obesity requires grassroots efforts in communities across the nation, such as planting community gardens and making fresh produce more readily available, including in liquor stores.

Obama cited a group in Detroit as a “wonderful example” of how local communities can make the campaign succeed.

“They drive a truck through the city, selling fresh, affordable produce,” Obama said. “And they’ve set up a small market. They’ve planted a community garden. They’ve even convinced some of the local liquor stores to stock more fruits and vegetables.”

Obama likened the fight against childhood obesity to the civil rights movement and the role black Americans have played in bettering their lives.

" They’ve even convinced some of the local liquor stores to stock more fruits and vegetables.”

Stock MORE fruits and vegetables? Do liquor stores normally stock "some" fruits and vegetables but now they should stock "more"? Did she throw in the "liquor store" bit so her audience could relate? I'm disgusted with her.

My Uncle loved Strohs.
split a six if that with him after a game of golf and he was a very happy guy.

I never cared for the stuff but if that’s what he liked that’s what we had.

Oranges for my Blue Moon, olives for my martini, maraschino cherries for my Old Fashioned, limes for my Corona, lemons for my Tom Collins, mint for my julep ... yes, I agree Moochelle, fresh produce is a must for any well-stocked bar!

Why the hell do liberals think that every thing they do these days is like the civil rights movement? That dog won't hunt forever, if it does now. These idiots cheapen the civil rights movement a little more every time they invoke it.

When I was a kid a guy came through the neighborhood selling fresh veggies from a push cart.

Then lead by example, why don`t she stop fattening her enormous bovine butt with fillet Mignon and lobster, and start eating more fruits and veggies herself? Now if they can come up with a Sam Adams flavored tomato, the cow may have something

A nice big “Let’s Move” bumper sticker would be just perfect stretched across her big, wide backside. Can’t wait for the dummycrats to explain why they’d have a lardass tell us that we and our kids are too fat. Is there anything dumb enough that these morons won’t do?????

Stop feeding these kids breakfast and lunch in school. They''re too damn lazy to get the milk out and a box of cereal and make a damn sanwich.

Let the schools provide milk and get the little buggers to do 10 laps in the gym or a little stretching.

Ya gotta wear kids out if you want to survive. Geez...schools are so DUMB....

Folks will sell anything from the trunk of a car or from a cart.

What we need is less tax and laws on these folks.
if moochelle really thinks this stuff is nice, “get off the businessman ***
