“In one passage of the article, Coons explains how in the months leading up to the trip abroad “leftists” on campus and college professors had begun to “challenge the basic assumptions” he had formed about America.
A course on cultural anthropology, noted Coons, had “undermined the accepted value of progress and the cultural superiority of the West,” while a class on the Vietnam War led him to “suspect…that the ideal of America as a ‘beacon of freedom and justice, providing hope for the world’ was not exactly based in reality.”

It sounds more to me like his indoctrination in American colleges by marxist professors changed him into a marxist more than a trip to Kenya! (eye roll)

Coons is a typical Obama Marxist Democrat who would fit well in the party of Obama-Reid-Pelosi. They hate what America stands for and work like termites from the inside to cause rot and decay hoping the whole thing falls one day and they can rebuild it in the image of their Stalinist, Mao, Ho heroes.
That article needs to find its way into a viral email and be circulated around Delaware.
Coons is carrying enough baggage himself (spoiled rich kid, trust baby, perpetual student, county official with questionable habits, etc., etc., etc.). There is enough on him to make people forget about his opponent.
Is there evidence that Coons has been a practicing Marxist since his conversion at age 21?
I know that being a Democrat counts, but are there other things he has said or done.
You can be sure, people are combing through his records as we speak.

You’re exactly right. O’Donnell needs to ask who’s the extremist? She’s for balanced budgets, lower taxes and lower spending. A government that lives within it’s means. He’s a self-professed Marxist.
