CLARION, Pa. James Winner, who marketed the steering-wheel lock known as The Club after his car was stolen in the 1980s, has died in a head-on collision in western Pennsylvania. He was 81.
Two other people also died when Winner's sport utility vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic Tuesday "for unknown reasons" and collided with their car, State Police said. The investigation continued.
Winner sold the first Club in western Pennsylvania before creating Winner International, the Sharon-based company that has now sold more than 10 million units. The device prevents car thieves from driving away and its visibility can be a powerful deterrent in itself.

Probably a good idea to remove the device before driving.
I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
Sorry.
Couldn’t resist.
How sad. Yet ironic somehow.
He’s joined the last club he’ll ever be in...
RIP.

Well, I guess it’s better than being stabbed by a Ginsu knife or falling and not being able to get back up.
i saw a guy defeat a club in 15seconds... 14seconds of that was spraying freon into the lock, the last second was a hammer snapping the lock
Saw it done and took like 10 seconds.
I was the second car in line at a red light and a pickup tried to turn in front of another pickup. I would estimate that their combined rate of impact was 90-100 miles per hour.
It was quite impressive. The collision lifted the front of both trucks off the ground so that I could actually see under their front tires for a split second. Fortunately, both drivers only suffered minor injuries, but both trucks were totaled.
