I know there are many tea party groups, is there an official tea party donation site or are we better of sending monies to specific candidates?

Send money directly to the candidate of your choice.
This is one of the strengths of the Tea Party, there is no centralized “leadership.” You have to do a little bit more homework and pick your candidates individually but you have much more power to direct your money where you want it to go.
If you read FR you’ll know who to send to, anyway.
AND RECRUIT MORE VOTERS!
Don’t look for the tea party to donate, give to a tea party candidate, they will get more $, with out a 3rd party taking a share for overhead.
I plan to donate to selected candidates around the country - starting with Christine O’Donnell! The Republican Party machine has seen the last dime from me - ever.

Just saw Kaine of the DNC on Fox - he said there was a “Civil War” in the GOP.
Watch for the media to compare the TEA Party to the confederacy even more than they have.

there is no ‘tea party’ per se. there are various groups who have co-opted the name.

I’m sure that the different groups do it differently - our local tea party simply passes the hat around at meetings and you can donate or not donate as you wish.

Watch the Tea Party Express. When you agree with them, give directly to that candidate.
On the other hand, if the TPE is getting ready to go man-o a man-o with the GOP, I’d support the TPE. Their growing in stature looks like a very good thing right now.
I think it is time to reach out to Reagan Democrats & ask for their help in kicking the “country club” Republicans to the curb.
