I had the opportunity to attend the USNA graduation in the late 90’s. The speaker was Al Bore, our great environmental evangalist. He and his posse arrived in about a dozen black surburbans.

God these people like Reid are the epitome of the definition of a hypocrite.

They are so pathetic they can’t even see the reaction to their foolishness.

They all have a carbon footprint 50,000 times greater than each of us.

Yet the size of ours is much too big and must be lowered.

We need a revolution.

Harry Reid needs a flock of big SUVs to go 100 feet.

Yet we are all to drive Smart cars and wait in line for trains.

They make me ill.

Liberal hypocricy, or is that redundant?

Lately, definitely yes. Since the 2008 campaign began, if you connect "lying" or "hypocrisy" with liberal it is redundant. hussein obama is the poster child for this, but most other 'libs are working hard at playing in his league.

I would call it a liberal cult.

A common facet of religion that is EMPOWERED is this: they will throw their principles out the door when it is convenient to do so. The cap and trade is a modern political equivalent of an indulgence. The only difference is that instead of buying a right to get your sins taken off the slate, or an ancestor saved off purgatory, you are saving numerous people in some third world country, or you are buying the right to use your car and other combustion devices more luxuriously. Various cults obssess over some kind of original sin. In the global warming context, the original sin is the chemical basis for all life, which is Carbon Dioxide. It is not to say that driving a car, slash and burning the rainforest, growing food, etc. don’t have costs, all do. But the bad fact is that they’ve essentially made what should have been a good scientific investigation into a cult, or a religious movement, that can, and pretty much has, lost the good scientific reasoning to preach its own Armageddon story, and they masquerade their religion as a science, when what they are practicing is a religion.

I am not saying that all religion is bad, but religion that rules politically can be tyrannical is. The worst kind of religion is one in which it is not admissive to being a religion when it is, by nature. Whereas being politically disempowered is a strong incentive for a religion, through both members and leadership, to refine itself.

The purpose of religion is to teach personal morality. The purpose of religion is about discipline of one’s mind and body. People should be selfless and aware of the needs of others, and give aid as neccessary. While there are and have been moves to get church leaders to sign documents about Global Warming, the Church leaders should not get involved, it would be for the churches perhaps the worst blunder of bad religion since the fight over the idea that the Earth was the center of the universe. Embracing global warming is outside of the league of what churches should do. One should be conservative, but one does not need to embrace loads of political philosophy to do it.

I believe the greatest threat to humankind is materialism, and the “Tower of Babel” mentality, which I will explain if anyone wishes for me to do so.
