Voted yes, but to be honest our chances of taking the Senate are a long shot. But even knocking off 7-8 Dems will tie the place up for the next two years, and lacking the ability to break a dem filibuster or override an Obama veto that was all we are going to accomplish for the next two years in any case.
The house is now in the bag. The only question is how big a wave. If 41-50 and we have the gavel but not much more. If we can pull 50-75 (very possible) we will be able to secure the leadership roles for conservatives not RINOs. If we can get a 75+ seat pickup (hey this year it could happen) then will will send a shock wave through DC. This is like an away football game. If you score big at the opening you can take the home crowd (MSM, RINOs and beltway lobbyists) out of the game.

I never trusted the pundits who were saying we had a chance to get the Senate this time. I thought it was wishful thinking. The House of Representatives is another matter, but there's no guarantee of that either.
Unfortunately the pain of Obama has not affected ordinary people enough yet, and his support from the media is still too strong.
Pain is our only hope, as I've said before.

Taking both houses is great and all, but for me, from my perspective, there is simply way too much hoopla being made over “taking over the House and Senate”......the idea here is too take as many seats from the Dems as possible and prevent them from simply shoving garbage legislation down our throats. If that means we take over both houses or one, then so be it, but again, taking as many seats as possible from the Dems should be the foremost goal.

We literally did just lose our chance of taking the Senate, but at least people are voting on principles.

We literally did just lose our chance of taking the Senate, but at least people are voting on principles.Stop it! Is that like the way we "won" control of the Senate in 2001, only to have Jumpin' Jim cross the aisle when it became convenient for him to do so?
Not again, thank you. We don't even know what the polls look like there for November. Scott Rasmussen himself was on TV saying his election match up polls were notoriously unreliable before a primary. Give it a week or two to settle down, then you can start whining, if you must.
Rush was brilliant yesterday. Go read the transcripts to the show. We have all of the advantages this coming election like we have never had before. Ms. O'Donnell managed to get 35% of the vote in 2008 against a favorite son whose ticket won handily nation-wide, despite being massively outspent. In this kind of anti-incumbent, anti-ruling class elite atmosphere, she will only get stronger between now and election day.

I’ve had my fill of RINOs. I don’t care who takes it as long as it’s a conservative.

While I don't believe you can "win by losing",
not taking the Senate may be a good thing. I want our Dear Leader and his cronies to OWN this economy. If the GOP takes over both Houses, Obummer and the complicit MSM will have an easy enemy. They'll do everything they can to convince those 20% of wishy-washy, head-up-their-a$$ Independents in 2012 that those evil conservatives are the only thing stopping our Dear Leader's wonderful economic recovery plan. I think we all know how easily swayed the middle is.
On the other hand, if we just take the House, that will give us enough ammunition to essentially stop Obummer until 2012. At that point, if the economy still isn't revved up, our Dear Leader is toast.
