It was an amazing bit of television. Almost instant(ly) followed by an amazing bit of scoop.
*snip*
The normally rational and analytical Mr. Rove had vanished. In his place was someone who looked like Karl Rove, sounded like Karl Rove
but spoke like the last guy out of the hoped-for-victory-party of the landslide losing candidate for Register of Deeds in NoPlaceville, Texas.
What on earth was Rove thinking? He was bitter, angry, cutting, demeaning, mean-spirited
and those were the nice things he had to say about O'Donnell.

They have much less straw to grasp at these days. Rove and his actions and words speak volumnes. These people are not conservatives. They are not our allies. They are worse than Lib Democrats, because they are inside the fortress, and thus can wreck more damage internally.

It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I was watching Hannity and had to turn off the TV.
I don't think it was calculated. I think Rove was genuinely angry that the guy who voted to move forward impeachment proceedings against Bush had LOST.
It was just weird.

A lot of freepers liked him during the Bush years, I never trusted him....all he did was get a almost rino in bush...good on foreign policy but democrat lite in domestic policy, working with Ted Kennedy of all people...Signing the unconstitutinal McCain Finegold, he expected the supreme court to save his butt and they didnt...A good man with class, but poor domestic policy...Worth repeating. I concur.

LOL...I think I’ll just send the label instead of the whole bag, but a message will be sent for sure. Going to see Ann Coulter speak this weekend. It will be interesting to see what she has to say about all this.

I use to absolutely adore her(4 years ago)and have all of her books.I have been disappointed with some of her positions of late(like her belittlement of so called ‘birthers’, etc..). I have never thought she was as good in person(on TV,etc.) as she is in her books. I guess I just like her because she makes the liberal’s heads explode and that is ALWAYS fun to watch....LOL!! She needs to tread carefully though not to make the conservative base heads explode.

I never, ever liked Rove.
Idiot Bush was his puppet. And because Rove had Bush bamboozled, he thought he had everyone in the U.S. bamboozled. What a shocker for him that he was not able to manipulate many of us (except for the Bushbots).
It appears, though, it has not sunk into his stupid thick skull in that many of us are capable of thinking for ourselves.

Again, you are correct.
Thank you.

RE Rove:
We don’t live in the “political” world, as Rove does; these folks “see the ice” differently than the majority of us do. So if he was simply playing one-off-against-the-other, I can’t say for sure; but bd476, it IS an interesting theory you have there, and I suppose it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
But the reaction of the NRSC is distrubing; “our guy lost to the amateur schmoe, and that is unacceptable”.
Whatever happened to “we all pull together and support whoever wins”??? Isn’t that what we’ve been told by these folks everytime they pawned an Arlen Specter, McCain, or insert-RINO-du-jour on us?
I supported McCain because the alternative was too gruesome; God in His wisdom gave us the gruesome alternative to bitch slap us back into a healthy dose of Americanism. If McCain would have gotten elected, the Tea Party and subsequent American awakening probably would not have happened, and the Progressive wrecking ball would have gone on, just slower.
What SHOULD be unacceptable is us backing the lesser of two evils again - EVER. I say we Remove the Progressive RINOs and the Progressive Dems with equal unrestrained fervor. They are the left boot and the right boot on the feet of the same would-master.
And I don’t want EITHER boot on my neck. F ‘em both. Whatever it takes to stop it, we stop it.
We lost a RINO and gained a voice, chosen by the electorate. Even If we lose the seat, it STILL helps to stall the socialist trainwreck. We don’t HAVE the seat to lose at the moment anyway.
The Tea Party Insugency of 2010 rolls on. And it’s about damned time. I’m thrilled at it. Personally, whatever baggage Miss O’Donnell has is irrelevant to me; there’s NO ONE that doesn’t have baggage. She has the b*lls to throw herself into the bull fight ring; how many of us out here do?
The People nominated her and rejected the RINO, and that’s what pissed off the BLue-Blood Establishment.
I’m not “Blue Blood” - I’m Blue Collar, proudly so, and I hope she can do good things. God put her here, now, for a reason - same as Sarah Palin, Paul Ryan, etc.
Personally - ANYTHING that sticks a middle finger up to the Establishment is OK with me.
Good job Christine. You go, girl. Keeping ya in my prayers.

He jumped all over Rove today. I’m sure you were listening. Not likely Rove will be back in the EIB chair. Rove has really exposed himself for what he is in this. He is an operative for the progressive agenda, using the Republican party to advance it. That explains so much, from Specter to No Child Left Behind. The conservative from Texas schtick with Bush was phony all along, and we figured it out around 2006.

If you spot this man please do not approach him. After humiliating himself on FoxNews he is considered dangerious. He was last seen behind a Jack in the Box in Murfreesboro, Tennesee wearing a Jimmy Carter mask and singing "Ooops I did it again" by Brittany Spears. RE Rove:
We dont live in the political world, as Rove does; these folks see the ice differently than the majority of us do. So if he was simply playing one-off-against-the-other, I cant say for sure; but bd476, it IS an interesting theory you have there, and I suppose its not out of the realm of possibility. I didn't catch bd476's comment. I do think it's rather simple what is going on here though.
But the reaction of the NRSC is distrubing; our guy lost to the amateur schmoe, and that is unacceptable. Exactly! And with Rove's comments it becomes crystal clear. We don't even want the win, if it's going to be one of those disgusting Conservatives.
How many times have I been kicked in the family jewels on this forum for saying I won't vote for RINOs, by die-hard 'Republicans over anything else', who state we must support "Repubicans" no matter what? Oh I was the bad guy, a really really really bad guy. I was a plant. I was a disrupter. I was working for the other team. Now we have Rove actually supporting the same thing in reverse. DoughtyOne, won't support RINOs. VERY BAD. Rove won't support a Conservative. VERY REASONED. Well, in the old days that would have been the reaction. Today Rove is seen for what he is. That is a real improvement. No excuses, the guy is a prick and we all know it.
Whatever happened to we all pull together and support whoever wins??? Isnt that what weve been told by these folks everytime they pawned an Arlen Specter, McCain, or insert-RINO-du-jour on us? Absolutely! You nailed it.
This, the absolute bedrock reason I refused to vote for McCain. You've laid it out crystal clear. You touched all the bases. Excellent! Thank you.
What SHOULD be unacceptable is us backing the lesser of two evils again - EVER. I say we Remove the Progressive RINOs and the Progressive Dems with equal unrestrained fervor. They are the left boot and the right boot on the feet of the same would-master. My only caviot here would be that if you're a Democrat today, you've signed on to stuff you simply can't plead ignorance for. It was crystal clear what Obama was. If you were breathing, had an IQ over room temperature, and cared about this nation at all, you couldn't vote for Obama.
And I dont want EITHER boot on my neck. F em both. Whatever it takes to stop it, we stop it. I don't want the RINO boot on my neck, or the Democrat boot, but then IMO we're talking about the same boot. McCain would have done a lot of what Obama has. Note the steady stream of congrats from McCain to Obama for what he's been doing. That has slowed in recent months, but McCain was in the fight of his life, desperately seeking to remain relevent. This season will be over soon. Watch the prick return to his core leftist principle set
We lost a RINO and gained a voice, chosen by the electorate. Even If we lose the seat, it STILL helps to stall the socialist trainwreck. We dont HAVE the seat to lose at the moment anyway. My thought is that raising sound policies is never a waste of time, if you get elected or not. When you voice sound policy, even if the leftist policy prevails, when it fails the folks know there is an alternative out there. What has driven me crazy is the Republican proclivity to sound Democrat lite, so the public wouldn't know there was an alternative out there. IMO, this is the main lesson of the Bush presidency. "Oh, why not vote in Obama. Both parties are about the same." We must contrast ourselves markedly, to make it clear why you don't vote in Marxsists. When you do Marxist things, you blur the line. You never do that intentionally. You voice sound principles, and implement from sound principles.
The Tea Party Insugency of 2010 rolls on. And its about damned time. Im thrilled at it. Personally, whatever baggage Miss ODonnell has is irrelevant to me; theres NO ONE that doesnt have baggage. She has the b*lls to throw herself into the bull fight ring; how many of us out here do? Every void will be filled. It's a rule of nature. Voids will be filled. In the absense of dominant Conservatism in the Republican Party, a Conservative entity will materialize. The Republican leadership hasn't understood this for a long time. If you have a sound Conservative Party (Republican), you don't have entities splitting away to drive Conservative policy. Perots and Buchanan's don't happen, if you have a sound Republican Conservative party. McCains don't happen if you have a healthy Conservative leadership.
The People nominated her and rejected the RINO, and thats what pissed off the BLue-Blood Establishment. Exactly. And this is the gravitational impact on the Republican planet, that proves there is another body out there, Conservatism. The Republican party was blind to this. They couldn't see it. They haven't been aware of the gravitational impact for decades. They ignored it.
Well, on days like today, it's crystal clear how out of touch the Republican party actually is.
Im not Blue Blood - Im Blue Collar, proudly so, and I hope she can do good things. God put her here, now, for a reason - same as Sarah Palin, Paul Ryan, etc. Well, I do have a comment in mind here, but rather than blur the message, I won't mention any names. My guess is that God didn't put anyone here to back John McCain, the LOST Treaty, John McCain's policies...
Personally - ANYTHING that sticks a middle finger up to the Establishment is OK with me. Same here.
Good job Christine. You go, girl. Keeping ya in my prayers. Absolutely!

I heard, I was wondering why Rush didn't get him on the phone before his show to have a better read on what the heck Rove was doing. If Rove would take anyone's call I would think it would be Rush.
