The dog, now known as Courage, was removed from her home by a former co-worker, Lisa Whiseant, who took the 37-pound dog to an emergency clinic in Garden Grove. The veterinarian who treated the dog said his bowels were impacted with dirt, which had debilitated him to near death.

I’m overjoyed he’s doing so well!
I don’t understand her “excuse” at all.
Awww! That face!
My last dog was an beautiful female Golden Retriever that I delivered (my X owned her mother and we had her bred). I just can't bring myself to replace her (not that I could) so I now have a bird.
I have a cat he could have a nice chat with.
Nor I.
PICTURES, MS.B!!!!!!
You two ROCK!!!!
Chris, you met her, huh?? :) :) Lucky you!!
Me? I specifically ASKED for the wildest one of the litter. To tame her, to mold her, to train her..she is an absolute delight.
Thanks!!!
The online community out here is ready to hang her...
Oh, she looks so like my Heidi.
My last dog was a GSD, now I have a pair of Akita mixes. But I think my next dog will be a Shepherd again. IMHO, they are the dogs most like people.
I will never understand people who starve a dog.
Dogs eat anything. Donuts, Little Debbies, anything ya got.
I could see someone saying they can’t afford to feed a cat, who is picky, but a dog will eat rice, and that’s cheap.
They are just heartless cruds.
My dog would eat the fruit from the trees in my back yard. Avocados, nectarines, peaches and plums; she refused to eat anything citrus, though. :-)
But her favorite thing was tennis balls; she loved to strip them of their green felt which she would swallow leaving only black rubber balls.
