The felony case of animal cruelty against Kimberly Nizato was held over for trial Tuesday.
Judge Richard M. Goul found sufficient evidence for trial following at a preliminary hearing that spanned nearly five months of scheduling conflicts and a crowded court calendar.

The dog, now known as Courage, was removed from her home by a former co-worker, Lisa Whiseant, who took the 37-pound dog to an emergency clinic in Garden Grove. The veterinarian who treated the dog said his bowels were impacted with dirt, which had debilitated him to near death.

People who’d starved to death in Ireland during the potato famine had green stains around their mouths — from eating grass.
Justice for Courage!
The Courage the German Shepherd is a dog, but the defendant is a bitch.
If the guy could play football, all would be forgiven!
And hopefully she’ll soon be a convicted felon bitch.
Grammie!
You need to see this!
Nizato looks like she should be chained to a tree and starved.
Ms. B...thank you!! I’ve been following this story from the beginning...the emotions run ..... deep.
HOORAY that she’s FINALLY be taken to court!!!!!!!!
That dog is BEAUTIFUL!!! Have you seen more pics of him? ;)
No, I haven’t.
I am so happy that he is thriving, now.
Poor baby!
Honestly, how can anybody DO something like this?
I have three little monsters, lol..
They are all fat and sassy!
I second that!
Did you watch the video of him?
LOL
He’s a “talker”!
Courage has a new playmate named Jenna, also from the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County. I have seen her before.
She’s evil. She worked with animals. She’s got a small child. She watched that dog starve....daily.
YOU HAVEN’T SEEN PICTURES???
(heh)
Drats...I thought I could find them REAL fast...you’ll just have to wait, then. (please remind me...)
He’s in his forever home, and I guess they adopted a girl, too...so he & she can run free & play. And all lived, happily, ever after. ;)

Is that his gal pal??? I’ve only seen one pic.
The blond in the second pic is his girl friend... a beauty, too. The smartest dog I ever had in my life was a German Shepard, I loved that dog and she was always right by my side protecting me.
Amen to that!!
This is Courage’s new mate. When I met her she was a bit wild but I heard she is doing great with Courage.
