Why is Chuck Baldwin Moving to Montana?
My Own Writings & Compilations | September 14, 2010 | John Leland 1789

Posted on 09/14/2010 6:49:04 PM PDT by John Leland 1789

As far as we understand, Chuck Baldwin and Constitution Party web sites are banned from Free Republic, so we will just have to allow the moderators to handle this as they will, but . . .

For any who might be interested in Chuck Baldwin and Constitution Party matters, I received a piece about Chuck Baldwin leaving Florida and the church he pastored for 35 years to move to Montana. I found his reasoning interesting, and so I’m passing this along.

Here is a excerpt from Chuck Baldwin’s last column which I find interesting.

--------------------------------

“As I said in my previous column, I believe Montana (and surrounding states) is in store for a FREEDOM RUSH. People all over America instinctively realize that things cannot keep going the way they are. The tyrannical tentacles of Washington, D.C., are making life a proverbial hell on earth for people all over the country, and, unfortunately, many (if not most) states are unwilling to resist the Crown's (excuse me, DC's) evil machinations. So, in the hearts of freedom-loving people there burns the question, "What do we do?" My family and I have answered that question. Our move is in response to the direct and definite revelation of God, in much the same way that our Pilgrim and Pioneer ancestors followed God's guiding light.”

BTW, I don’t think Chuck Baldwin or the Constitution Party is banned. He writes a lot for Lewellen Rockwell who is banned.... Also, there was another guy who was a Constitution Party leader who was a real douche here who got zotted... but I see stuff directly from Baldwin every once in a while that goes through.

He is a bit nutty. How exactly did you form this opinion? Based on what?

I admire CB. But then you might find me a bit "nutty."

How about around 10 years ago Chucky condemning Congress’s chaplin as being a Satanist for ending a prayer “in Your name” (prayer to God) instead of being in “Jesus Name”..

You think I’m kidding? Nope! I’ll dig up the link..

"He'll be raising his lonely dental floss...

...with his Zircon encrusted tweezers."

"He'll be raising it up, and waxing it down,

put it in a little box that he can sell uptown."

Riding the pygmy pony along the boredom line...

Others have made the same decision to move. Back in the 1980’s and into 1990’s, I’d hear of people moving to rural areas, especially mountain areas, because of the Lord’s direction.

As the cities get worse and worse with crime and deviant behavior, more people continue to this day to move. I heard of a family who moved to the Ozarks from Florida just a few years ago and for similar reasons to Mr. Baldwin’s.

God knows what is up ahead for this country, and maybe He is leading people to safer and more peaceful places.

I clicked on the thread wondering how many replies there would be before someone provided this response.

Two, that's how many.

Unless states begin turning their noses up at federal money ("revenue sharing" WHAT A JOKE!! Where did those funds come from to being with??!!), and absolutely demand Tenth Amendment states' rights, the "safer and more peaceful places" within the country will disappear before long."

And there are no places left on the planet to which Christians may flee to raise their children for Jesus Christ.

We must take our stand and not be intimidated.

I like Chuck Baldwin and am curious why some here think otherwise.

"I like Chuck Baldwin and am curious why some here think otherwise."

Because Chuck is not merely an economic libertarian attempting to guard Constitutional principles for the enhancement of his or a company's financial bottom line.

Any man like him will be attacked on specific statements or acts, while his attackers will never study the principles that underlie his movement.
