All politics is local and Delaware is not Wyoming.

A point I've been making all along. One FReeper responded he'd rather see 30 "true conservatives" against 70 dems in the Senate than any RINOs. All great, except those numbers present no resistance to the dems' socialist agenda. But we're makin' that "statement," right??

We complain that Democrats dwell too much on their "feelings" and not enough on the harsh realities of the Real World but our side suffers from the same Touchy Feely Syndrome:

"It is better to allow Obama to destroy America than to feel that I did not make a statement."

The only "statement" I want to be able to make after the November elections is:

"The Marxist Obama agenda that was destroying America has been stopped dead in its tracks."

If that means being in the same foxhole with Democrat-turned-Independent Joe Lieberman and "RINO" Scottt Brown (R- Massachusetts), then, so be it.

Candidates that pass the Conservative Purity Tests but die on the troopship from natural causes before they ever hit the invasion beach will not do America much good in the post-election battle against the Obama Marxist agenda.

Sadly, you are probably correct.

It does not seem to register with O’Donnell or any of her rabid supporters that just MAYBEEEE (and probably), many of her votes came from Dem crossovers who wanted a “weak” candidate to run against their guy?

And sadly, the GOP establishment would rather have a D win that seat than see a successful change within its own party!

MADNESS!

What value does control of the Senate have, if the republicans have many of the same beliefs as the democrats?

IT STOPS THE OBAMA MARXIST AGENDA.

“...A snowflake's chance in Hell.”

You should read The Inferno by Dante.

The lower rings of Hell are cold and Lucifer is frozen in the ice.

Snowflakes in Hell - you betcha!

Given that the choice that party firsters preffered WAS a dem in everything but name, you would have had that anyway.

“Sorry to say it, but we just handed Delaware to the Dems.”

Not if “We The People” help her to keep the DEM from being elected! Like Rush said, if the folks in DE vote for Christine O'Donnell....she wins!

Exactly. Buckley would NEVER have supported Mike Castle. And, part of this “we’ve lost the Senate”-— who are “we”. The assumption that Republican means conservative is a ridiculous one, considering it was non conservative republicans who handed the country a a democrat majority by leaning and “reaching” across the aisle. A clear conservative choice well positioned with statements that reach the public will WIN. Period. Professional party politics of both parties is the real problem. They are ALL living off of the citizen’s hard work and tax money and it has to quit.

“The first thing she should do is tell John Cornyn and his NRSC to sod off.”

I just sent an email to Cornyn withdrawing my support of him.

As long as we are within one or two of the majority, combined with a majority in the House and the filibuster, the dems won’t be able to accomplish much. Part of me doesn’t want a majority in the Senate because it will be harder for Obama to blame Republicans in 2012 if they only control one branch of Congress.
