Rauf on the Ropes
An Islamic community center at Ground Zero seems increasingly unlikely.
13 September 2010
The white flag hasnt reached the top of the flagpole yet, but Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf all but surrendered on Monday morning in his battle to build a Muslim interfaith community center with a prayer room two blocks from Ground Zero. At an unusual meeting Monday morning at the Council on Foreign Relations in midtown Manhattan, Rauf said that he wanted to find a solution to the furious imbroglio over the planned center, which opponents say is inappropriate, insensitive to the memory of those who died in the 9/11 attacks, and likely to inflame tensions rather than build bridges between Muslims and non-Muslims. Saying that his advisors were looking at every option, including a suggestion that the project be delayed until it could win greater support and become less divisive, the imam pledged to do whats best for all.
Everything is on the table, he told the more than 300 members of the group, which rarely holds on-the-record meetings and normally focuses on foreign affairs and national security rather than domestic or urban issues. In fact, the imam this morning was acknowledging the obvious: the project has been on de facto hold for weeks because of the numerous obstacles it now facesfirst and foremost, a lack of funding.

You are so correct. The good mudslime is not quitting—it is just a change of tactics—he will lay low and then in bit by bit under the radar fashion have his rabat/fort just where he intends. Ten years, this will again be an issue.
He knows the intensity and memories of the event fade and he can again gain the stage to manipulate the grinning communist national media and other anti-American elements to new frenzy.
He, and those like him will revisit the same grotesque act—even if it is a thousand years in the making.
We can’t let Rauf take a victory lap at Ground Zero!!
I live overseas (in Asia) and 100% of the people I meet in the real world here (and anywhere outside of NY, DC, or SF) say it is clear that Rauf is MOCKING the USA with the mosque at ground-zero. I am also told if it goes forward, this mosque will be an everlasting JOKE on the USA, and a real sign of weakness, division, and self-hatred within the USA.
These are a MUST SEE.

If Rauf doesn’t like living here the way we are, then let him move to Somali or Yemen where he belongs.
It’s been a JJ/Acorn scam from the beginning....
Ala: “How much willl you give me not to build the mosque?”
Next demonstration at site shoul be an “eat in” Ribs for all...Leave the garbage.
You can see it in his face! He's mocking the U.S. and he's loving it!
The entire muslim world can see that, as much as regular Americans are against the mosque, Rauf and the jihadis now have the U.S. president and the Mayor of NYC in their pockets.
It is obvious that Obama is supremely pro-muslim (to the exclusion of any other bloc), but how the muslims bought off Bloomie is still a mystery.
He isn’t surrendering, he is plotting as to how best to get what he wants anyway. Biding his time, etc.
These people NEVER surrender.
Imam Rauf should have tried to become more American and taken the last name Kramden. Rauf Kramden..."To the moon god, Alice!"

Check it out.
Apparently business deals in oil rich ME.
Or Secretary of the Treasury.
Which is why, in the next ten years, we’ll need to buy the property and build something on it...
...something that renders the site unfit for a mosque. Maybe a skyscraper with a synagogue in it? Or one with a mall that sells Hillshire Farms summer sausages and polska kielbasa?
The Imam Rauf needs to come clean and needs to prove something to America — sorry, but that's the way it is. If we can't vet his background, then we can't give him carte blanche. Every single main line religious organization in the US has a hierarchy that governs its deeds, message and actions. There is some accountable organization that can and will be sued if things get out of hand. That is the problem with every "private revelation" of the gospels or verses. There is nothing that guides it. Where is his organization, where and how does his funding come, what governing body is the sole interpreter of his “verses”? All these questions are unanswered.
He can only be judged by what we know of him and right now, it's not looking too favorable. I don't know of any reasonable human being who would allow the possibility of toppling a civilization or country without the necessary investigation of motive and means. Cooler heads must prevail.
I heard there was town in Spain, I think, that buried pork where they were going to build a Mosque and that stopped the whole thing. A little well placed bacon grease perhaps?
So the Mecca Synagogue and the Mecca Church rebuilding projects could still go ahead. Great. Now we're making progress.

Imam Rauf on Israels Destruction

He (Rauf) has also involved himself with the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of Hamas that is dedicated to destroying Israel and bringing the world under Shariah Law.
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, the founder of the American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, opposes Imam Raufs project partially because of his reluctance to confront the Muslim Brotherhood.
He points out that Rauf describes top Brotherhood theologian Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradawi as a moderate in his book despite his history of anti-Semitism, endorsement of suicide bombings and Hamas, support for the killing if U.S. soldiers in Muslim lands, and calls for Muslims to wage jihad against Israel until its destroyed.
You now lecture Americans that WTC mosque protests are politically motivated and go against the American principle of church and state.
Yet you ignore the wide global prevalence of far more dangerous theo-political groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and all of its violent and nonviolent offshoots, Jasser writes.
