Adam Serwer claps back at Dinesh D'Souza laughable contention that Obama exhibits "Kenyan anti-colonial behavior."
Adam leads by noting that racism is often just another form of intellectual laziness. Indeed. And all the other times it's just intellectual dishonesty. I once had an editor who people used to say would hear a good headline and then tell reporters to go find a story to match it. Likewise, D'Souza's work is the product of a debate culture that markets provocative rhetoric as substantive argument. So for D'Souza the question isn't, "How does Obama think?" as his piece supposes, it's "How do I get Newt Gingrich to quote me?"

Who reads Atlantic?
The desperation is palpable.
If the contention is “laughable” then why bother refuting it? I’m sorry they won’t refute, they will malign the author.
Keep poking under that rock . ..the rattlesnake is getting pi$$ed. “Don’t tread on me!”God what looney tunes the libs are
They come from a literary that dismisses a Somerset Maugh or any other writer whose books people actually read, as so inferior, and therefore to be dismissed with a few sladerous words. .

The Democrat party should be disbanded for knowingly defrauding the nation with a candidate who is not constitutional eligible. Neglecting what was their constitutional responsibility to protect the people and their constitution from such an occurrence as a Usurper in the White House.
No other president while in office has put independent verifiable documentation off limits preventing the American people to see for themselves whether the president claims about himself are true or not. What is most troubling is the size and scope of this hidden information. Everything from kindergarten records to Chicago State Legislative records and everything in between is hidden from public view. As journalist, Tom Brokaw and talk show host Charlie Rose opined, 'We don't know who Barack Obama is.'
The smoking gun is the feeble effort to 'bamboozle' America with the phony birth document (Certification of Live Birth) he put up on his web site. That should have brought an FBI visit for forging a birth certificate.
The Certification of Live Birth form is not definitive.
He and his administration think Americans are idiots. They know that you are waiting for the piss-stream media to tell the truth but it ain't ever going to happen.
Now the White House insults our intelligence by showing his new passport. It's not his original passport but his new presidential passport with all of the information on it that confirms Barry's narrative of being born in Hawaii.
Where's the old 1980's passport Barry?
Dinesh spoke truth.
Delicious fear.

BTW, Ta-Nehisi Coates is a black homosexual who used to write for the Village Voice.
To me that Forbes article is like a cypher that you place over a sheet of seemingly random letters (events) and the message pops out. I think the author is right on target.
The brilliance of our founding father’s creation, the constitution, is that unlike some African country we won’t have a revolution we will have an election, first in 2010 and then in 2012.
It’s turning out that Mr. Obama is not so hard to understand, a neocolianist.

And of course, there's the fact that, just has D'Souza has Obama neatly pegged, so Churchill neatly summarized Islam 111 years ago:
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
I started to read the comments there. Such smug assumptions totally void of reasoning or facts. Everybody’s an arm-chair psychologist but nobody knows how to add 2+2.
The Mau-Mau in him couldn’t abide the bust of that old imperialist so near his royal person.
I coined the phrase The Kenyan Impostor.
I own the rights to the url thekenyanimposter.com.
I am going to make a mint!
Thanks Kenyan!
Accusing someone of racism when they have honest questions about another is intellectual laziness...and a bit of duplicity, as well.
Now you can't turn any business show without hearing some CEO, economist, analyst, technician, trader basically pegging the future of the Republican on whether or not the Tea Party can manage to stop the madness in D.C. by a roundkick on Nov. 2.
And is this piece also "laughable"?
Written a year ago by an American of Nigerian descent: Obama, The African Colonial.
I don't think so.
Exactly. This is a question that cannot be won by the Progs or the WH. Just to have to ask, WHO IS THIS MAN? proves the point that we don’t know who he is and we must go on what our “lying eyes” tell us: he is not culturally an American.
Might he also be a Black Muslim?
Yes.
Anticolonialism explains everything.
