-- Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has called an article by Forbes' Dinesh D'Souza the "most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama." Gingrich summarized, "What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior can you begin to piece together [his actions]? That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior." The racially charged comment and D'Souza's similarly provocative article are generating controversy and criticism. Here's what people are saying.
Anti-Colonial Obama: D'Souza writes, "Barack Obama is the most anti-business president in a generation, perhaps in American history. ... The real problem with Obama is worse -- much worse. But we have been blinded to his real agenda because, across the political spectrum, we all seek to fit him into some version of American history. In the process, we ignore Obama's own history. Here is a man who spent his formative years -- the first 17 years of his life -- off the American mainland, in Hawaii, Indonesia and Pakistan, with multiple subsequent journeys to Africa." It all goes back to Obama's Kenyan father. "To his son, the elder Obama represented a great and noble cause, the cause of anti-colonialism."

The White House is on full destroy the messenger mode on this one. They realize not only does D'Souza have the cover article in Forbes, but he is coming out with a book about the Messiah very shortly as well. He must be destroyed and discredited before his views are disseminated to the wider public.
If you’re taking flak, you’re probably over the target.
Wow, it took the author four entire sentences to play the race card. Of course the first three sentences were all direct quotes of Gingrich. LOL
These people are so predictable.
If youre taking flak, youre probably over the target.
Yep. This might get good.
Chrissie is NOT feeling the tingle on Curveball just now. He is absolutely livid with Newt.
Too funny.....
I’m not going to go out of my way to defend Newt, even if he does happen to be right in this case.
Better to learn to accept it and deal with it.
Obama ties himself to his drunken father by his own words, but if we now examine that bond we’re being racist. It’s beyond bizarre.
D’Souza is a minority of Indian descent. I’d like to see how they pull this off. Calling another minority racist seems to be something the left does occasionally. However, I don’t think it will fly anymore than the attacks against the Louisiana governor succeeded.
No point in doing it anyways. By tomorrow he'll retract his statements and issue an apology, and by the end of the week he'll be denouncing D'Souza.
I’d pre-order a book just to see the sales numbers soar when it becomes available for pre-sale. :)
D’Souza will clean the floor with anyone who tries to destroy him.
Wasn’t there an article about ‘African Colonialism’ a while back here at FR? It was quite good, as I recall...
Hence the super hysteria over D'Souza article and coming book.
Glad this is getting a lot of play, thank you D’Souza!
Not only that, he has darker skin than Obama....LOL! The overextended Race card is really gonna bounce on this one.
Sending back the bust of Churchill was a big tip-off to what Newt is talking about.
The stupid race card has lost its effectiveness long time ago because it is based on lies and smears. It does not work anymore and in fact it has a total reverse effect from what is intended to do by the race merchants i.e. the real racists who use it.
D’Souza’s article was stunning to me. I read it and thought...wow, why didn’t I think of this, it’s been in front of our faces the whole time. Obama’s anti-colonialism explains alot about his contemptible treatment of the the Brits his first few months in office...the Churchill bust...the non-state dinner for Cameron...the IPOD of obama speeches to the queen. He’s almost as bad as Idi Amin!
