POLL: Christine O'Donnell Takes Lead Over Mike Castle in Delaware Senate Race
(WILMINGTON, DE) - Confirming poll results from a Tea Party Express commissioned poll last week (which showed Mike Castle leading Christine O'Donnell by just a 43%-41% margin), a new poll shows Conservative Republican Christine O'Donnell continuing her surge in the Delaware U.S. Senate race.
A new Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey released Sunday evening shows O'Donnell has in fact now surged into the lead over liberal Mike Castle.
The poll results were as follows:
Christine O'Donnell: 47%
Mike Castle: 44%
The poll also showed 55% of likely Republican voters think Mike Castle is 'too liberal' which echoes the message the Tea Party Express has delivered via hundreds of thousands of dollars in TV, radio, newspaper and online ads - as well as 80,000 mailers delivered to Delaware Republican households. You can see these ads by the Tea Party Express below.
Furthermore, among those Republicans who consider themselves part of the tea party movement (estimated by PPP to be 25%) O'Donnell leads Castle 79%-18%.
Among self-described "conservatives" O'Donnell holds a commanding lead over the liberal Castle. O'Donnell earns the support of 62% of conservatives versus only 31% for Castle. Conservatives are expected to comprise a significant portion of the GOP primary electorate in Tuesday's election.
Mike Castle's approval rating has plummeted as well - in direct response to the Tea Party Express's campaign efforts. In an August PPP poll, Mike Castle had a favorable/unfavorable rating of 60%/25% among Republicans. The new PPP polls shows that more Republicans now view Castle unfavorably than view him favorably. His new favorable/unfavorable ratings are: 43%/47%.
"We are going to push as hard as we can to turn out conservatives and tea party supporters to vote in Tuesday's election, and we know that we must give it everything we've got to ensure victory for Christine O'Donnell," said Sal Russo, Chief Strategist for the Tea Party Express.
"We're taking nothing for granted," Russo said.

From watching the Mark Levin FB/Twitter match against several conservative bloggers (up for debate with some of them, apparently), this seems to be a hard choice—certainly one of the races to watch!
(Although getting ‘tennis neck’ from the back and forth stuff is starting to bug me...)

Perhaps now the RINO Establishment will finally listen to the people.
American voters are DONE with the gutter slime politics as usual personal attack tactics.
They want people with ideas and solutions who run on issues, NOT just a recycling of some long time member of the old boy's club running on "I not as bad as the Democrat".

Jim Jeffords and Arlen Specter held “Safe” Republican seats. How those 2 work out for us in 2001 and 2009?

Castle looks confused, clueless and feeble. Looks like he’s sitting in his own excrement.

What a slimy hit piece from a former supporter talk show guy. He asks a question, then constantly interrupts her.
Who does he think he is, Geralda Rivera??
