I like both of them and would be delighted to see either one become Speaker.
Boehner...not so much.
Though he'd still be a tad better than that witch we have in that position now.
Imagine that.....
:-)
Bob Schieffer is interested in BOEHNER smoking??? LOL. Wow, pretty lame.
How about B.O., Bob? I’m pretty certain the kids of America aren’t saying, “Gee, John Boehner smokes—that must mean it is COOL.”
Obama’s cigarette smoking tobacco breath is the least of the MSM’s worry when they have their noses halfway up his ass!

“Well, I mean, if you should become Speaker, you could set a good example for the country by saying ‘I’m going to stop smoking,’” Schieffer said. “Maybe you could get the President - I understand he smokes too, - maybe the two of you could find a way to try to stop smoking. That’d be kind of a good thing, wouldn’t it?”
Typical Politico spin message.
LOL!
Yeh how about grilling the Muzzie on his smoking problem.
BOEHNER: People in my district are obviously too smart to worry about a guy’s tan when picking a congressman. That’s why a Republican represents that district. District with people as shallow, stupid, and short-sighted as the ones you’re describing end up with a Democrat in Congress!
Boehner should have replied that he had to switch to a spray on skin color because of the new tax on tanning salons.
Thanks for the ping!
But the Capitol Hill Club, unlike the Democratic Club, never got an exemption to get around the District's new smoking ban. And Boehner and other members are no longer allowed to smoke in the House Speaker's Lobby, thanks to Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) new rules. So what else is a Republican to do when he's jonesing for a smoke?
Boehner, who's hooked on Barclays, has popped into the Democratic Club -- a sad sack of a joint (compared to the tonier GOP club), which is frequented by union lobbyists -- on several occasions. Most recently on Wednesday night, when he was puffing and chatting with Democratic Reps. Allen Boyd (Fla.), Dennis Cardoza (Calif.) and Jim Costa (Calif.)."
Thanks for the ping.
Here’s my answer to that question: “Bob, I smoke for the children. If little Timmy can’t get that operation he needs to save his life because I didn’t buy a pack of Barclays I don’t think I could live with the guilt.”
Conservatives who don’t like tobacco smoke, chose not to use tobacco.
Liberals who don’t like tobacco smoke, make it illegal for others to use tobacco.
I used to know a woman who smoked Barclays. She was hot, but spoken for.
They will NEVER show Obama smoking.
And as far as Schieffer, he’s right in line with America’s view on smoking.
As for Boehner, lucky bastard gets to smoke in some of these elite clubs.
A POX on them all!
“And as far as Schieffer, hes right in line with Americas view on smoking.”
Sounds to me like he is “right in line” with the nanny state on his views of smoking.
I do not see any difference between America and the Nanny state. The former is now the personification of the latter. Pretty much the populated areas anyway, however redoubts of individualism and liberty still prevail in the West and the South, but the WestCoast and the Northeast are bastions of NinnyNannyism.
